Wonderful Learning Experience
I've had an interest in both Roma Culture and Copper smithing so this workshop seemed perfect for me. And it was, even if it was just me on the day I booked, it allowed me to learn even more. It started with a walk to various landmarks of Roma Culture with my guide Mihai, who explained the history of the Roma people with visual aids he carried in his backpack. He answered all my questions and always went into detail when I wanted to know more about the Memorial or the University. He then brought me to the workshop where the copper accessory teacher, Amir, was waiting. Amir showed me various kinds of copper rings and other kinds of jewelery for me to choose the design I wanted to make. He then used a piece of copper to show me how to cut, hit, file, brass and twist correctly, with me using my piece to follow the instructions for a bit more than an hour. Overall it was a really fulfilling experience which I'll always remember with joy. Thank you Mihai and Amir.

Surprising, interesting and rewarding
This was a very interesting experience, we left the workshop with a smile and little token of our own making. We spent a little bit of time understanding the history of the Roma people and their lives in Romania before and after the country became a country. We had plenty opportunities to ask questions and prompt our guide to talk more about a subject or define it in more detail. I think this little tour was informative for us, but would probably be very interesting to native Romanians or Roma people themselves too! The jewel workshop was fun - it's a small and relaxed area full of tools. We got shown the steps we need to take to make the jewellery that we chose for ourselves, during the techniques we got the necessary guidance but also were left alone to work on our things in peace. Very nice experience.
