The excursion was great, outside of long wait
Transportation was provided, but we arrived late and still had to wait almost 2.5 hrs until we began the excursion. Once the excursion started, we had a blast! A few times, the buggie turned off and we needed a boost. It was fine because it didn't take away from the fun! The crew were young guys and they were on it to get the buggies going again. They seem very knowledgeable about the mechanics and we were up and going in no time after it shut off. We visited the coffee house, which was humble spot with nice locals. The Mamawana juice and hot cocoa was tasty! The swim hole and cave was exciting and cool! The local store next to the swim hole cave scammed us and stole money from our debit cards. We wanted to support local business and they took advantage of us. This by no means is against the buggies business, but I wanted to warn others. The store is called Macy's by Nicki Minaj and ran by an old full figured dark skinned woman and her minions.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your detailed feedback and for sharing the highlights of your buggy excursion. We’re glad you enjoyed the adventure, the coffee house visit, and the swim hole—it’s great to hear you had fun despite the delays and buggy issues, which our crew worked hard to fix quickly. We are very sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident at the local store. While that business is independent and not affiliated with our tour, we appreciate you warning future travelers. We always encourage guests to be cautious when making purchases outside of our organized stops. Thank you again for choosing our tour. We hope to provide you with an even better experience next time.

Highly recommend!
Everything from the private transportation (which was on time) to the friendly guides was all excellent! The buggies were fun and easy to drive. We definitely got muddy. All the stops were well timed, and we got to hear about and taste mamajuana, natural coffee, tea,and free cigar! The cave and beach were great spots for pictures. There were handmade trinkets and souvenirs at some of the stops. We didn't feel pressured to buy, but they do appreciate the sales and will bargain. Overall, it was an excellent experience, I would highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank You for Your Amazing Review! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed your experience with Next Ride Punta Cana. We're glad the punctual transportation, friendly guides, and fun buggy adventure exceeded your expectations. Nothing beats getting a little muddy for the full adventure vibe! It’s great to know you appreciated the well-timed stops, the tasting of mamajuana, coffee, tea, and cigars, as well as the beautiful photo spots at the cave and the beach. We’re also happy you felt comfortable at the souvenir stops, with no pressure to buy and the chance to take home a special keepsake. Thank you for recommending us. We look forward to welcoming you back for more unforgettable adventures in Punta Cana! The Next Ride Punta Cana Team 🚙🌴

Disappointing
This package was not as advertised. We stayed at the Rui Palace at punta Cana and booked the trip online through trip advisor. We had 6 adults in our group. Trip was supposed to be 3-4 hours but ended up being 6 hours. First off, they were an hour late picking us up and we still had to go to other resorts for pickup. Trying to confirm that we were on correct shuttle was clear as we were not picked up by the shuttle listed in package. When we got to destination we were bombarded with sales pitches the whole time. NO sand dunes, no local house. The Macao beach is a public beach with over priced items for sale. Basically, we felt like they were trying to get you to buy their items instead of the nice resort where we were staying. It was nice to see outside resort, but prepare yourself. We found out that most of the trips are not as advertised. I specifically signed up for the package that didn’t have cave venture…. but that’s where we went. I think all the packages take you to the same spot! Disappointing.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize that your experience did not meet expectations. We strive to provide clear and accurate tour descriptions, and we regret any miscommunication regarding the itinerary and timing. We understand how frustrating delays and unexpected stops can be, and we will address these concerns with our team to improve our service. Your experience is valuable to us, and we appreciate your honesty. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to reach out. We hope to have the opportunity to provide a better experience in the future.

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Punta Cana Buggy Adventure Playa Macao and Dune with Safari.: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Punta Cana Buggy Adventure Playa Macao and Dune with Safari. cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Punta Cana Buggy Adventure Playa Macao and Dune with Safari. take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Punta Cana Buggy Adventure Playa Macao and Dune with Safari. worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Punta Cana Buggy Adventure Playa Macao and Dune with Safari.?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Punta Cana Buggy Adventure Playa Macao and Dune with Safari. suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Punta Cana Buggy Adventure Playa Macao and Dune with Safari.?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Punta Cana Buggy Adventure Playa Macao and Dune with Safari. start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
