Very beautiful...
Very beautiful experience! I think the price was a bit high for what it was - a pontoon boat ride looking at the fire pits in the water. Definitely a great one time experience that we won’t forget and I’m glad we did it. Giving this 3 stars because it was quite short and a little monotonous at times because it’s the same fire pit over and over.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you found the experience beautiful and that it became a memorable part of your WaterFire/Providence visit. Our boat rides are intentionally designed to be a quiet, serene journey through the WaterFire installation, offering guests the opportunity to leave the crowded walkways behind and experience the burning braziers from the water. As described on Viator, the experience focuses on the peaceful atmosphere, unique perspectives of the installation, and city views that simply aren't available from shore. The trip duration is also clearly noted on Viator as 30 minutes, which is the time it takes for us to casually cruise through the entire installation from Crawford St. to the basin, and back. As you booked through a 3rd party site, you did pay more than what we charge for these rides on our website ($45) so always make sure you do your homework before booking. Thank you again for joining us, and we're happy to hear it was a one-time experience you'll remember!

Terrible
Beware terrible service. Very Disappointing Experience – Misleading Information and Poor Customer Service We booked the Three Islands boat tour, including the Blue Lagoon, with Providenca in Trogir. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. When we arrived, it was quite windy. We asked the staff whether the weather would be a problem, and the person in charge assured us that everything was fine and the tour would go ahead safely. The operator of the noat should've know in advance that weather wasn't appropriate to ho on the sea. But still he took the risk when we have 2 small kids with us However, as soon as the boat left the bay, the sea became extremely rough with very high waves. Almost everyone on board started feeling unwell. The original plan was to visit the first island, but because of the rough sea, the crew informed us that it was too difficult to reach and changed the route. The conditions became even worse, and the children on board were frightened. At that point, we decided to call the office and asked to cancel the trip and return. After we came back, the staff told us that we could either receive a refund or reschedule the tour for another day. We explained that we might be able to go the following day but were not sure. We specifically asked whether we would receive a full refund if we decided not to go, and we were clearly told yes. The next day, we informed them that we could not join the tour and requested the refund. When we went to collect it, we were surprised to discover that part of the money had been deducted as a booking fee. When we asked why, the employee told us that the booking fee was non-refundable, despite the previous promise that we would receive the full amount back. We are very disappointed by the way this situation was handled. We feel that we were given misleading information and that the company did not honour what was promised. We cannot recommend this company based on our experience.
Response from the operator: THIS IS NOT OUR COMPANY IN RHODE ISLAND. "We booked the Three Islands boat tour, including the Blue Lagoon, with Providenca in Trogir."

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Providence WaterFire Boat Rides (Full Lightings): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Providence.
How much does Providence WaterFire Boat Rides (Full Lightings) cost?
+
Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Providence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Providence WaterFire Boat Rides (Full Lightings) take?
+
Plan for about 0.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Providence is not rushed.
Is Providence WaterFire Boat Rides (Full Lightings) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 67 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Providence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Providence WaterFire Boat Rides (Full Lightings)?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Providence WaterFire Boat Rides (Full Lightings) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Providence WaterFire Boat Rides (Full Lightings)?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Providence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Providence and add a light layer if any part of the 0.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Providence WaterFire Boat Rides (Full Lightings) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Providence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Providence?
+
Providence runs Federal Hill food tours, gondola and river cruises, Brown and RISD campus walks, ghost tours through Benefit Street and WaterFire evenings in season. On Outty we rank every Providence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Haunted History Walking Tour of Providence, Crime and Cuisine on Federal Hill, Discover Providence Guided Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Providence?
+
May to October, with WaterFire lightings from May through November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Providence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
