SAVE YOUR MONEY

The staff on the boat had good Customer service, the guy who takes photos really knows how to pose you for great pictures but wants to change over $125 for 5-10 pics. But other than that it’s nothing special. Id say take a ferry instead and save your money. There’s no “open bar”. They don’t serve you drinks until everyone is done snorkeling which is like 1 hr in, even if you choose not to go snorkeling and even then the drinks are so limited, they didn’t serve the basic, like mango margaritas. Same thing when you arrive to beach club. There’s a “buffet” that’s very limited and the food is not good, we got up and left because of the low quality of food, then the bar served us limited variety of drinks. My husband asked for a Tecate and I asked for a mango margarita and they wanted to charge us for both. Ridiculous. They said only one kind of beer and iced limon margaritas were included. It’s ridiculous the amount of money you pay and the quality of what you get. Would not recommend.

Don’t waste your money….

The staff on the boat were amazing. I will say that. If snorkelling is what you are after, 20 minutes in a crowded area with other boats and people won’t cut it for you. My daughter was heavily kicked in her side and was not allowed to move away from the group. The buffet lunch was mediocre, and the private beach area extremely my busy. No lounge chairs to be found. The town itself is packed with people and very expensive. This isn’t the place to buy souvenirs. You are on your own for about 4 hours before the boat heads back. My advice, take the ferry over if you want to see the island. Book a separate snorkelling tour. Pass on the sea turtle tour too. It’s all about selling you the photos they take. The water is murky from all the people in the water.

Response from the operator: We apologize for the disappointment you experienced during your trip with our Privilege Catamaran - Comfortable Experience to Isla Mujeres + Open Bar. Your feedback is essential to us, and we're sorry to hear that certain aspects of the tour did not meet your expectations. We're glad to hear that you found the staff on the boat to be amazing. However, we regret any inconvenience caused during the snorkeling experience and the crowded private beach area. Your concerns regarding safety and comfort are taken seriously, and we will review our procedures to ensure a more enjoyable experience for our guests. We also apologize for the quality of the buffet lunch and the lack of lounge chairs at the private beach area. Your feedback will be shared with our team for improvement. Thank you for your suggestions regarding taking the ferry over to the island and booking separate activities. We will take these into consideration to enhance our offerings and provide a better experience for our guests in the future. We appreciate your honest review and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a more satisfying experience. If you have any further comments or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

Privilege Catamaran Experience – Isla Mujeres & Open Bar: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.

How much does Privilege Catamaran Experience – Isla Mujeres & Open Bar cost?

+

Prices start at $122 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Privilege Catamaran Experience – Isla Mujeres & Open Bar take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.

Is Privilege Catamaran Experience – Isla Mujeres & Open Bar worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Privilege Catamaran Experience – Isla Mujeres & Open Bar?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Privilege Catamaran Experience – Isla Mujeres & Open Bar suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Privilege Catamaran Experience – Isla Mujeres & Open Bar?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Privilege Catamaran Experience – Isla Mujeres & Open Bar start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cancun?

+

On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cancun?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cancun?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
