Great tour
We were a group of eight and we had a a fantastic experience with this tour. Our guide was everything we had hoped for; timely, knowledgeable and entertaining. She took us to all the spots that were tourist worthy and we got to see and experience Yellowstone the best possible way.

Great Tour
Outstanding! Private tour that allowed us to customize what we wanted to see. We saw wildlife and all the beautiful sites. Our guide, Soriyia, was excellent. Highly recommend.

We learned so much from our Souther Loop Yellowstone Tour!
This was our second worthwhile tour with Tied to Nature in Yellowstone park. John B. Was a wealth of knowledge as our guide! He took us to all of the important stops (waterfalls, geothermal locations, and more) and filled us in on the important history and science of all of these areas. There wasn’t one question of ours he couldn’t answer. John spoke clearly so everyone in the van could hear and was engaging with our three kids too! We had a wonderful day touring and definitely feel that it was more than worth the investment to get the most out of our time in Yellowstone.

Wonderful and tailored to our needs
John Bybee accompanied us on our private and comfortable tour of Yellowstone. My husband is disabled and can’t walk more than a block or two, and John knew this and accommodated our needs perfectly! We saw everything we were hoping to see (escort a moose!) and John’s encyclopedic commentary was really appreciated! He could address nearly everything we asked about ! Complete with dates and names (often including middle initials!) of individuals including explorers and Presidents, wives and children.. John’s fund of knowledge is incredible! He knows his botany too! And I think history is his strength. But his geological knowledge base seems astounding, too. He is personable and polite and patient. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We had John for three tours and after day 1, we were so happy to see him each time. Two tours in Yellowstone and one in Grand Tetons. Wonderful, all. (We had a wildlife tour with Bryan. I’ll review that under that topic. Equally good and very different skill set.)

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Yellowstone Old Faithful and Lower Loop Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for West Yellowstone.
How much does Private Yellowstone Old Faithful and Lower Loop Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $1100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in West Yellowstone usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Yellowstone Old Faithful and Lower Loop Tour take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in West Yellowstone is not rushed.
Is Private Yellowstone Old Faithful and Lower Loop Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 82 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in West Yellowstone, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Yellowstone Old Faithful and Lower Loop Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Yellowstone Old Faithful and Lower Loop Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Yellowstone Old Faithful and Lower Loop Tour?
+
Around 29 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in West Yellowstone can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in West Yellowstone and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Yellowstone Old Faithful and Lower Loop Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central West Yellowstone within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in West Yellowstone?
+
West Yellowstone is the busiest park gateway: guided Yellowstone loops to Old Faithful and Grand Prismatic, wildlife safaris at dawn, and snowcoach or snowmobile tours once roads close. On Outty we rank every West Yellowstone experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Yellowstone National Park - Full-Day Lower Loop Tour from West Yellowstone, Yellowstone Lower Loop Tour | Wildlife & Hot Springs | PRIVATE, Full Day Private Tour and Hike from West Yellowstone. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit West Yellowstone?
+
June to September for driving tours, December to March for snowcoach access. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in West Yellowstone?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
