    Great experience

This was an add on for us, Marco is so knowledgeable of the area, lots of facts that made the trip more interesting. Pisa was good, but for Lucca was the highlight. Also went from Florence into Tuscany and toured the area. The area is hilly he drives safely and I felt very comfortable

Amazing time in Lucca and Pisa

We had an amazing time on this tour with Marco, our driver. First, we visited Lucca where we saw the Puccini museum and the Duomo. Nice to see a different type of city and explore. We than had lunch at a wonderful place Marco recommended and had some local favorites - fried flowers and Tordelli Lucchese pasta. Amazing. The , off to Pisa where we were blown away by how much the tower leans and took the time to walk up. Definitely book ahead of time not to miss the climb of 257 stairs! Thank you Marco for a Wonderful day!

Response from the operator: Hello, Thanks for this amazing review! I appreciate it very much! It' s been a beautiful day spent driving for you and your adorable family. I wish I' ll be able to drive for you again in the future! My warmest regards, Marco Modesti

Great day trip for adults and children

We were a group of 14 people, this was car 2 of 2. The car was well airconditioned, which was great since it was late July. With 7 adults, we fit comfortably in the car with 1 adult in the front, 3 in the middle, and 3 in the back. The drive is quite windy and bumpy, so if you are prone to motion sickness, you should sit in the front. There was also a middle seat in the front, but we chose to use the 3 seats in the middle and back rows. Jay was an excellent driver! He was originally from the US, so his English was perfect, which was great since our group only spoke English. We were the second of two cars and we followed the other car throughout the trip. As a large group, it was nice to driver in tandem throughout the whole day. We had a stop at Pisa and we're given an hour to walk around. Then we headed to Podere La Maronaia where the drivers had booked us a winery lunch and wine tasting. This was an extra 45 Euros per adult. The wine, scenery, and lunch were excellent. Highly recommend asking your driver to stop here. After a couple hours, our driver said it was time to go to San Gimignano where we walked around the town. They recommended Gelateria Dondoli, which would have a very long line but would move fast. They were correct. And the gelato was spectacular. After an hour here, we met the drivers back at the car and headed back to Florence. This was a great way to tour Tuscany. Highly recommend this experience!

Private Tuscany Day Trip from Florence Including the Leaning Tower of Pisa: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Private Tuscany Day Trip from Florence Including the Leaning Tower of Pisa cost?

    +

Prices start at $846 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tuscany Day Trip from Florence Including the Leaning Tower of Pisa take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Private Tuscany Day Trip from Florence Including the Leaning Tower of Pisa worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tuscany Day Trip from Florence Including the Leaning Tower of Pisa?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tuscany Day Trip from Florence Including the Leaning Tower of Pisa suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tuscany Day Trip from Florence Including the Leaning Tower of Pisa?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tuscany Day Trip from Florence Including the Leaning Tower of Pisa start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
