    Best day ever

If you are considering this, stop thinking and comparing, and just book it. This was such an amazing experience for our family. These memories will last a lifetime! Erik was the best tour guide you could ask for. This experience was so amazing in part because of him. He joked with my family and fit right in. He was so helpful in getting the kids out of their comfort zone. The cenote and lunch were our everyone’s favorite. We could have stayed there an entire day! “Best day ever” and “10 out of 10 day” were said by my kids. Definitely recommend and would do this again.

Response from the operator: What an incredible review! 💙 Knowing that your family had such a memorable experience truly means the world to us. We'll be delighted to share your wonderful comments with Erik. He'll be so happy to know he helped make the day so special for your family and that your kids called it the "best day ever!" Thank you for your recommendation and for choosing Ocean Tours. We can't wait to welcome your family back for another unforgettable adventure! Warm regards, Valentina | Ocean Tours

    Turtles, Tulum and Mora

We wanted to do a bit of everything and we definitely got our wish. Our driver Arain, was kind and polite and kept the bus cool and safe for us the whole day. We were lucky enough to have Andreas as our unofficial tour guide of Tulum Ruins and he did such a great job. Provided so much information and extra knowledge, as well as advice on how to spend our free time there. The visibility of the sea when we saw the turtles was not great (beyond anyone's control) but we still managed to see at least 5 turtles! Andreas kept us away from the other groups as much as possible and always had the best interest of the turtles ahead of everything. The cenote cave swim was a bonus we didn't see coming and again Andreas went out of his way to make us feel safe and give us so information while respecting the delicate cave system. Would highly recommend the Ocean Tours company for their ethical and animal conscious care to anyone

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! 💙 We'll be delighted to share your kind words with Andreas and Arain. They’ll be thrilled to know their passion, knowledge, and care for both our guests and the local wildlife made your day so memorable. Thank you for your recommendation and for recognizing our commitment to ethical and responsible tourism. We hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure! Private Tulum Ruins with Reef Snorkel, Cenote & Mayan Ceremony: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does Private Tulum Ruins with Reef Snorkel, Cenote & Mayan Ceremony cost?

    +

Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tulum Ruins with Reef Snorkel, Cenote & Mayan Ceremony take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is Private Tulum Ruins with Reef Snorkel, Cenote & Mayan Ceremony worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 92 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 330 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tulum Ruins with Reef Snorkel, Cenote & Mayan Ceremony?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tulum Ruins with Reef Snorkel, Cenote & Mayan Ceremony suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tulum Ruins with Reef Snorkel, Cenote & Mayan Ceremony?

    +

Around 115 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tulum Ruins with Reef Snorkel, Cenote & Mayan Ceremony start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

    +

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
