My favourite tour by Choose Balkans!!!

Choose Balkans never disappoints. They customized yet another trip for me to pick me up in the South to explore this amazing city. The guide I had was incredibly knowledgeable and this historical city. The day was fantastic, a smooth ride from Vlore to Gjirokaster...spent the day wondering the winding streets on the hillside, explored a 300 year old Ottoman house, the castle and enjoyed some delicious authentic lunch in the bazaar. On the trip back to Vlore, we stopped to get fresh water from the mountain side run off and pick up some local mountain tea. Such an epic day. One additional note..not really tour related but noteworthy. The tour guide was SUCH a nice guy. Just a great day spent with a solidly nice guy.

Response from the operator: Hello Jackely. Thank you for your positive feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed the experience with us. You are always welcome to explore more.
 Warm Regards.

    Special town

After previous good experiences with Choose Balkans I decided to explore another city. Gjirokastra was high on my list and it's a special city. It was very quiet and we had plenty of time to see everything. I especially liked the bazaar and the traditional rice balls were very tasty! The tour was well arranged and the guide was top notch.

Response from the operator: Hello Sarah. Thank you for taking time and sharing your feedback. It is always a pleasure to have guests like you. You are welcome for other adventures in Albania. Warm Regards , Choose Balkans Team.

    UNESCO world heritage site.

Gjirokastra is absolutely a must if you are in Albania. Small stone city but, with a lot history to offer. We visited the castle, museum and the old bazaar. We captured some great photos as well.

Response from the operator: Hello Andrew. Thank you for the review. You are always welcome. Warm Regards , Choose Balkans Team.

    CUTE LITTLE GJIROKASTRA

Even though I’ve been living in tirana for some time I came across a paper telling about these unesco sites in Albania and gjirokastra was the gem. I immediately wanted to go there but work didn’t allow much of it and since it was a bit far I needed some assistance. Day tour of Choose balkans there was an option and seemed perfect for me and went for it. They were highly responsive and the staff was so welcoming and kind . Gjirokastra is not that big so we managed to go to all the best part including the old bazaar , the castle, the cute little store on the corners. The view was just awesome. I will definitely come back.

Response from the operator: Hello. Thank you for your wonderful review. Was more than pleasure for us assisting you in the tour . We really hope to see you again in other tours . Warm Regards, Choose Balkans Team

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tirana.

How much does Private Transfer Tirana to Dubrovnik or Vice Versa cost?

    +

Prices start at $372 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tirana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Transfer Tirana to Dubrovnik or Vice Versa take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tirana is not rushed.

Is Private Transfer Tirana to Dubrovnik or Vice Versa worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Tirana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Transfer Tirana to Dubrovnik or Vice Versa?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private Transfer Tirana to Dubrovnik or Vice Versa suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Transfer Tirana to Dubrovnik or Vice Versa?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tirana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tirana and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Transfer Tirana to Dubrovnik or Vice Versa start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tirana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tirana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tirana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Tirana- Hiking Tour to Bovilla Lake & Gamti Mountain, From Tirana / Durres: Gamti Mountain and Bovilla lake Day Trip, Kruja castle, the old Bazaar & Sarisalltik- Departure from Tirana. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tirana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tirana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
