About this experience

Enjoy the three most important activities in the Riviera Maya : Ruins, Snorkeling in the reef, Cenotes - Caverns, in a private and personalized Tour. Visit with us one of the most shocking archeological sites in the Riviera Maya: Tulum, is the only city of the ancient Maya on the shores of Caribbean Sea. Tulum was an important port, used by the extensive commercial network of the Mayas, since the commercial maritime and terrestrial routes converge here, then we will snorkel in the Mesoamerican coral reef (the second largest in the world), where you can swim with the turtles and watch more than 50 different species of fish, as well as rays. We continue to enjoy the Cenote, mystic shrine of the ancient Maya Civilization.

Of the best experiences and Tour Service.

Excellent Experience, Service and Communication. It was really an internship we loved. Oliver and Vanessa were always in communication before and during the activity. The places, the food and the cenotes were brutal. We went with some friends who went for the first time and were delighted. We really recommend them and would do it again with them. Tourism Channel, thanks for everything. A 20 out of 10*.

Memorable Trip

We are a family of four visiting Playa del Carmen during March Break from Canada. We decided to take a private tour to explore Tulum ruins and Cenote Minotauro. Our local guide, Chris was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to our family needs. We fully enjoyed a very rare experience of exploring the cave with a trusted guide, swimming in the clear cave water, and learning the ancient wisdom of Maya civilization. Chris was very patient, kind and welcoming to make our trip memorable. We highly recommend this tour to a family with kids! Bonus points: He is an excellent photographer:)

Response from the operator: Hi :) THank you so much for sharing your comment, it's great to know that your family enjoyed de tour. Come back very soon, can't wait to see you all again. Have a nice week.

Awesome amazing experience.

We were offered a ride in to Playa Del Carman to shop and visit Joe’s shop. We booked everything up and he took us back a few hours later. Very professional and reasonable prices. We had Oliver pick us up at the resort. He was amazing, took tonnes of photos of us and a few videos. We saw Tulum the Sea Turtles and went to the Cenote. We even got to stop for Authentic Mexican Tacos. Just a wonderful experience. When we do go back, I would have no issue with using Joe or Oliver or anyone’s services from this operator. The best part, it was all private and on our own time. No forced stops for shopping you don’t want to do. There’s flexibility in the schedule. Thanks for a great experience.

Response from the operator: Hola Seabus87! Muchas gracias por tus comentarios, seguiremos mejorando para ofrecer la mejor aventura en la Riviera Maya. T urismo Channel Playa del Carmen, Q. Roo, México

Private Tour Tulum, Reef & Cenote-Cavern from Playa del Carmen: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does Private Tour Tulum, Reef & Cenote-Cavern from Playa del Carmen cost?

+

Prices start at $195 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour Tulum, Reef & Cenote-Cavern from Playa del Carmen take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is Private Tour Tulum, Reef & Cenote-Cavern from Playa del Carmen worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour Tulum, Reef & Cenote-Cavern from Playa del Carmen?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour Tulum, Reef & Cenote-Cavern from Playa del Carmen suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour Tulum, Reef & Cenote-Cavern from Playa del Carmen?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour Tulum, Reef & Cenote-Cavern from Playa del Carmen start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

+

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
