Joy is a great guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Jiuzhaigou
Sometimes you can have a lot of luck. Our trip to Jiuzhaigou was one of these. The weather was great, the scenery was amazing, and our tour guide was the best. Joy was her name and she took great care of us during our trip, allowing us to enjoy the scenery and see the beautiful sites stress free and with no rushing or problems. Everything was taken care of and the huge smile and easy conversation (English) made for a wonderful memory. Highly recommended

Honeymoon in Yunnan and Sichuan
We took the 6 days Yunnan and the 8 days Sichuan tour got our honeymoon. We enjoyed it very much. Most of the hotels surprised us with flower decorations, wine or cake. The tour guides were very nice and helpful, because it made the trip more informative and easier when the local people didn’t speak English. They also helped us when we had a special request that wasn’t part of the itinerary. Regarding the sights we especially liked the Stone Forest in Kunming, Jiuzhaigou, the pandas, the golden monkeys, the various old towns in Dali, Lijiang, Shangri’La and Chengdu. And of course the food was great.
Response from the operator: Dear Thomas T, thank you for taking time to share your experience with us! It is our honor to travel with you again, which is a great recognition of our service. We are delighted to see your trip was smooth and enjoyable. Thank you for keeping trusting us, we look forward to serving you on your next vacation! Best regards from TravelChinaGuide Tours.

Wonderful trip! Great guide in Beijing!
We just returned from a fantastic week in China! We had never used a tour group before, and were frankly nervous about what the experience would be like. I can report that our entire family (parents and two teenagers) were thrilled with every aspect of the tour! The tour was flawlessly planned and executed. One of the best parts of the trip was our phenomenal tour guides! All three were fantastic—knowledgeable, organized, professional—but I have to say that our first guide (for the Beijing leg of the tour), Candy, was AMAZING!! She was smart, savvy, and absolutely delightful! We missed her terribly when we left Beijing! She is so sweet and knowledgeable and a terrific story-teller. She really made the history come alive! I would not hesitate to use Travel China Guide for any future trips anywhere! And I want to thank Candy for making our trip so special!
Response from the operator: Dear klevine617, What a lovely review! Thanks for taking your time to share your enjoyable China tour experience online. We are more than happy to hear that you were satisfied with our tour guide Candy and our arrangement. Your satisfaction is a great power and rewards to us. We will never stop perfecting our service quality. Thank you again for your support and we wish to have another chance to serve you in the future!

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Tour to see Giant Pandas and Jiuzhaigou: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chengdu.
How much does Private Tour to see Giant Pandas and Jiuzhaigou cost?
+
Prices start at $1869 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chengdu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour to see Giant Pandas and Jiuzhaigou take?
+
Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chengdu is not rushed.
Is Private Tour to see Giant Pandas and Jiuzhaigou worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Chengdu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour to see Giant Pandas and Jiuzhaigou?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Private Tour to see Giant Pandas and Jiuzhaigou suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour to see Giant Pandas and Jiuzhaigou?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chengdu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chengdu and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour to see Giant Pandas and Jiuzhaigou start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chengdu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chengdu?
+
On Outty we rank every Chengdu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Chengdu Cooking Class with a Local Market Visit, Private Chengdu Day Tour: Giant Pandas and Jinsha Site Museum, Tuktuk Food Tour Through Chengdu's Local Eats. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chengdu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chengdu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
