    About this experience

Let yourself travel through the "Roman World." Get to know Portugal with a 100% cool driver. I drive as I would like someone to drive for me. Fatima is one of the largest and most important places of pilgrimage in the world, with more than 5 million visitors per year. The largest pilgrimages to Fatima take place annually on May 12 and 13 and October. Leaving Lisbon/Cascais/Sintra in the morning, we will make the trip by motorway and in 1h30 we will be in Fatima. After the visit of Fatima we will continue to Nazaré, where you can see the beach of the giant waves and we will have lunch in a restaurant of choice. Then we went to the village of Obidos.

Wow! What a fabulous day w Hugo

Wow! What an incredible day we had today with Hugo. He picked us up promptly at 815. It was a bit over 1 1/2 hours to Fatima from our rental in Ericeira. It was pouring rain when we got into the nice car. By the time we got to Fatima it was a beautiful sunny day. I’m not sure I can give Hugo credit for it, but just saying. We had a very powerful and spiritual visit at the square and church before heading to the homes of the Portuguese children who Mary appeared to. Following Fatima we went to Nazare, home of the world’s biggest surfer wave. We all loved the vibe and also had a great lunch at cafe Hugo recommended the pork and scallops were great as was the sangria. Next stop Obidos that village was breathtaking. We spent all day w Hugo. He is charming, funny, and so knowledgeable. You cannot go wrong booking a tour with him. There were three of us ladies mid 60’s to mid 70’s. He tailored our day to fit our fitness level. I simply can’t thank him enough for a magical day.

    TEN STARS for Hugo!

TEN STARS! We can’t say enough good things about our experience with Hugo. After spending a lot of time researching different tours in Portugal, reading countless reviews, and comparing options, we decided to book with him—and it was one of the best decisions we made on our trip. From the very first moment, Hugo felt less like a ‘driver’ and more like someone genuinely invested in making our day special. He was prompt, professional, and incredibly friendly. His sense of humor made us laugh throughout the day, and his patience—especially when we took extra time exploring, requesting extra stops, or asking endless questions—never wavered. What truly made the experience unforgettable was how knowledgeable he is about Portugal. He didn’t just share information—he brought the country to life. He would teach us about the history and culture, and “quiz” us along the way to see what we knew. It was such a fun and engaging way to learn, and we loved how interactive it felt. You could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and takes pride in sharing his country with visitors. We chose Hugo based on reviews, hoping they were accurate—and they absolutely were! We left the day feeling like we had gained not just a tour, but a real connection and a much deeper appreciation for Portugal and Hugo. Truly exceptional. We would book with him again without hesitation and suggest you do the same!

Private tour to Fatima Nazaré and Óbidos from Lisbon: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Private tour to Fatima Nazaré and Óbidos from Lisbon cost?

    +

Prices start at $325 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private tour to Fatima Nazaré and Óbidos from Lisbon take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Private tour to Fatima Nazaré and Óbidos from Lisbon worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private tour to Fatima Nazaré and Óbidos from Lisbon?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private tour to Fatima Nazaré and Óbidos from Lisbon suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private tour to Fatima Nazaré and Óbidos from Lisbon?

    +

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private tour to Fatima Nazaré and Óbidos from Lisbon start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
