Beautiful day trip to Cascais
Jose was attentive, knowledgeable and accommodating. Recent storms had caused damage that closed the road we needed so he rearranged the day to deal with the circumstances. This tour is especially enjoyable if you enjoy nature and getting out of the city.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that you had a beautiful day exploring Cascais and that José helped make the experience enjoyable. His attentiveness and knowledge truly help guests get the most out of the day, even when unexpected situations arise. Recent storms have indeed affected some coastal roads, so we’re especially glad José was able to adapt the itinerary and ensure you still had a wonderful experience discovering the natural beauty of the area. The landscapes around Cascais and nearby Sintra offer incredible scenery, and it’s a perfect escape from the busy atmosphere of Lisbon. Thank you again for joining us on this tour and for sharing your experience. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Portugal in the future!

Well-organized and filled with interesting stops
Our guide was very professional and took us to some beautiful coastal beach towns and attractions along the way. He has been doing this a long time and his English is perfect. He also took us into Cascais for a lunch break, which was delicious. He had recommended a lovely local place. The drive to and from Lisbon was easy and he shared quite a bit of local information along the way also during the return. It was quite delightful.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and that our guide’s experience and local knowledge helped make your day so special. Cascais and the surrounding coastal areas truly are beautiful, and we’re glad the lunch recommendation added to the experience. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Portugal for another delightful tour in the future!

Fantastic Private Tour of Portugal
Few words can truly express how accommodating and wonderful Pedro was to our family. Yes, he was also the driver and guide, going beyond the call of duty to take care of every request and need during our Portugal travels. His knowledge and fluent English made everything an exciting adventure. His hotel and restaurant recommendations for Cascais, Porto, and Lisbon were excellent choices. We told Pedro which sights we were interested in and he planned our entire eight day itinerary. When we were in the planning stages, Pedro was always very prompt in responding to our emails and texts and was very organized and professional. He is a gentleman in every sense of the word. We would be thrilled to return to Portugal again and Pedro would be the only person we would ever consider asking to be our tour guide. His kindness helped build fun, lasting memories that will be forever enshrined in our hearts. The best and easiest guided tour we have ever experienced!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this truly heartfelt and beautiful review. We are incredibly touched by your kind words and by the trust you placed in Pedro to guide your family throughout your time in Portugal. It means so much to us to know that his dedication, organization, and genuine care helped turn your eight-day journey into such a special and memorable experience. From planning the itinerary to recommending hotels and restaurants in Cascais, Porto, and Lisbon, Pedro’s goal is always to make every detail seamless and enjoyable—and we’re so happy that this came through so clearly for you. Your words about the memories you created together are especially meaningful, and we will be sure to share your message with him. Thank you again for choosing us. We would be absolutely delighted to welcome you back to Portugal one day, and it would be our pleasure to have Pedro accompany you again on your next adventure.

Beyond exceptional
We literally cannot say enough about Pedro and his incredible knowledge of Portugal! We loved him so much that we booked 3 more days with him. He not only took us to Cascais but to Obidos, Nazare and on to Porto. Then another 2 days over night journey to the magical village of Monsanto and more!!! Our trip was truly exceptional once in a lifetime to never forget. We absolutely fell in love w Pedro! Anyone who wants the best guide, amenable, creative and passionate about life and beautiful Portugal will need a passport and Pedro! He is the best of the best. We miss him already!!! Obrigada!

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private tour - The Beautiful Cascais: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Private tour - The Beautiful Cascais cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private tour - The Beautiful Cascais take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Private tour - The Beautiful Cascais worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private tour - The Beautiful Cascais?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private tour - The Beautiful Cascais suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private tour - The Beautiful Cascais?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private tour - The Beautiful Cascais start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
