    THE BEST DAY in Sintra!!

This was an incredible experience. Jorge picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off at the airport at the end of the day - it was super convenient as we didn't have to worry about finding a place to store our luggage. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and personable. We explored the Pena castle, went to the wine tasting and had time to explore downtown Cintra. Jorge took us to the most amazing restaurant for lunch and we enjoyed eating with him and hearing his stories and experiences. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour and ask for Jorge!!

Response from the operator: Hello Lisa, We are so glad to read your review! That makes us so proud as a team and Jorge, as a dedicated professional, felt very happy. Thank you so much for your support!!!

Clarity on the description would’ve helped in setting expectatiion

Phillip was good , he had some great recommendations and was engaging . The description of the tour was deceiving. Based on the description we had a different idea of how the wine tasting will be which was different from how it was described . But sintra was beautiful and Philip was spot on and had done good insights .

Response from the operator: Hello Manju ...we're very sorry that the wine tasting experience didn't fullfill your expecations, Colares wine beside being exclusive its rare and with a very small yearly production. Its a cooperative, still maintained by just a few private local producers. The wine tasting was done but the experience there is allways incomparable to the bigger on size wine cellars and producers, like in Douro, Alentejo and Dão. We are so glad to read your review! That makes us so proud as a team and Filipe, as a dedicated professional, felt very happy. Come back soon. Thank you so much for your support!!!

    Day tour of Sintra

We booked the day trip to Sintra with a stop at a wine vineyard. Our guide, Luis, was very knowledgeable about the area and Portugal as a whole. The tour included a stop at a local cafe where we had the opportunity to try the regional desserts, which are far tastier than the pastel de nata and something we never would have experienced on our own. Luis warned us that Sintra would be very busy and full of tourists, but we did not anticipate the amount of traffic that we would have to sit in to get to Pena Palace. Once you arrive at the park there is then another wait if you want to see the insides of the palace, which we were fine with not seeing. If Pena Palace is the main reason you are doing the tour I would recommend discussing with your guide and starting at Pena Palace first. In addition to Pena Palace, we also made stops in the town, at a local vineyard (Adega Regional de Colares), and Cabo da Roca - the westernmost point of continental Europe. Overall, we enjoyed the day and the places we saw along the way.

Response from the operator: In the name of our company we wish to thank ou for your review. Return soon.

Private Tour Sintra With Wine Tastings: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Private Tour Sintra With Wine Tastings cost?

    +

Prices start at $195 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour Sintra With Wine Tastings take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Private Tour Sintra With Wine Tastings worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour Sintra With Wine Tastings?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour Sintra With Wine Tastings suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour Sintra With Wine Tastings?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour Sintra With Wine Tastings start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
