    Perfect Guided tour!

Jonathan was extremely organized and knowledgeable. We had one day to tour and he fit in so much history and information. We would have taken three days to cover what he was able to cover in 1 day. He is organized, knowledgeable and so accommodating. Jonathan listened to what we were looking for and tailored the tour to exactly what we wanted. The day was perfect!

The only way to learn Normandy history!

A wealth of knowledge and passion for history. Jonathan knew everyone's name within the first 5 minutes and we quickly felt like good friends. He accommodated our needs to move at a slower pace with patience and skill. We saw things we would have never noticed/seen without him. Highly recommend! Professional, prompt, and fun to be around.

    Knowledgeable Guide, Great Experience

Jonathan was an excellent guide. He had knowledge of all the little things that allowed us to learn the history of anything we looked at. He was informative on the drives to our locations, and had pictures from 1944 that helped shape our experience. As a family of 6, Jonathan was good with the kids. He helped us navigate the beaches and history of D-day, which was a bucket list item for my teen son. I appreciate his safe driving and great recommendations for other places to check out beyond our tour. He certainly made our experience much better, and it's well worth the investment to have a local who knows the area, the history, and the language. Highly recommend.

Knowledgeable, friendly, and so interesting - the best way to experience Normandy is with Jonathan!

The best way to experience Normandy is with Jonathan! If you do one thing while visiting, make it a tour with him. He brought us to Omaha and Utah beaches, Sainte-Mere-Eglise, the American cemetery and the German cemetery. We learned so much, even my history buff husband was blown away. Also, the freedom of having him drive and explain things along the way gave us the opportunity to absorb information and really see what is around us, instead of having to figure out where we were going. We had our three children with us on the tour, and he was so patient with them, explained things so they could understand, and catered the tour to ensure they had fun, too. We couldn’t recommend Jonathan more - this was the highlight of our trip!

Private tour landing beaches from Bayeux: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bayeux.

How much does Private tour landing beaches from Bayeux cost?

    +

Prices start at $1066 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bayeux usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private tour landing beaches from Bayeux take?

    +

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bayeux is not rushed.

Is Private tour landing beaches from Bayeux worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 93 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bayeux, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private tour landing beaches from Bayeux?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private tour landing beaches from Bayeux suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private tour landing beaches from Bayeux?

    +

Around 33 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bayeux can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bayeux and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private tour landing beaches from Bayeux start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bayeux within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bayeux?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bayeux experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Omaha and Utah beaches, Normandy American D-Day Experience - Group tour from Bayeux, Omaha Full Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bayeux?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bayeux?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
