Marble Mountain and Hoi An delight!

Had a great tour with Destiny going to Marble Mountain and on to Hoi An. Tommy Travel met us at the Chan May cruise port and took six of us on a private tour the day we were leaving Hue to head to our next stop. Destiny is extremely knowledgeable and gave us enough information about the area and the sites we were seeing. Marble Mountain was very beautiful either the pagodas and monuments. Visiting the large cave where the Vietnamese converted to a hospital during the war with the United States was thought provoking. Hoi A was another 30 minutes down the beautiful countryside and well worth the stop. Unfortunately we had limited time in Hoi A because of our imminent departure. It is a city you could spend several days exploring! All in all, we had a 5 * tour!

Response from the operator: Dear Amiee, Wow… thank you so much for this beautiful review! It truly means a lot to me and my team to hear that you had such a great day with Destiny. She will be very happy to know that her knowledge and passion helped make the experience special for you. Marble Mountains is always a meaningful visit — especially the cave hospital. It’s one of those places that really makes you pause and reflect. And yes… Hội An is a place that deserves a few days, not just a few hours 😊 Hopefully next time you can stay longer and enjoy it properly. Thank you again for trusting Tommy Dao Tours to take care of your group from Chan May Port. It was our pleasure to be part of your journey, and we’re so grateful for your 5-star support. Wishing all six of you safe travels to your next destination — and we hope to see you back in Vietnam one day! Warm regards, Tommy

Insightful and personal account of the history and beautiful scenery

Insightful trip and very informative guide, Ken who survived the Vietnam war and told us his first hand account of his experiences. Our driver Tommy was also excellent. The Marble Mountains were really worth a visit with lots to see, beautiful gardens and Buddhas . We had a traditional Vietnamese lunch on the riverbank which was fresh and delicious before heading to Hoi An . Hoi An is a pretty town with well preserved buildings. There you can see French and Chinese influences and well as a bustling market for bargain hunters. Again, Ken was very knowledgeable. Our day finished with a brief but worthwhile visit to the famous white sands of China Beach . We were very impressed with Ken’s detailed knowledge. Good timekeeping both on pick up and drop off from our cruise ship.

Response from the operator: Dear Mr Fran and friends, thank you very much for your sincere positive review about the private tour with us on February 27th 2024. Ship docked at Da Nang port at 7:30am and departed at 6pm. We tried to make the perfect tour for 4 of you and having the best memory with us in Da Nang and Hoi An. We wish you a wonderful cruise ship in Việt Nam and return home safely. Mr Ken and Tommy
