Although large-scale trading had long moved elsewhere, Hoi An has been successful in preserving and restoring its charming roots and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in December 1999. Lovely tour and tour guide Thanh

Our tour guide Thanh was very knowledgeable about the history and architecture of Hoi An. He was very personable and patient with us two older ladies who walk a little slower. His English was very good and we had many nice conversations with him. The tour was great as we visited sites we would not have noticed on our own. We recommend Thanh and this tour.

Response from the operator: Dear Irene, Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re delighted to hear that Thanh took great care of you and shared his knowledge about Hoi An’s history and architecture so well. It’s wonderful that you enjoyed the slower pace and had meaningful conversations with him. We’re glad the tour allowed you to discover hidden gems you might have missed otherwise. Your recommendation means a lot to us! Wishing you all the best and hoping to welcome you back on another adventure soon. Warm regards, The TTP Henry Travel Hoi An Team

Nice overview of Old City Hoi An

Henry is a knowledgeable tour guide and speaks English very well. His tour of Hoi An took us to places we otherwise would not have seen. It is an excellent overview to a beautiful and historic city. I'm not sure if it is his personality or his dry sense of humor, but he comes off as a little less engaging than other tour guides we've had in Vietnam. He certainly knows his stuff, but answers to questions seem very business-like as in "just the facts, ma'am," and less as chatty tour guide.

Response from the operator: Dear Dara, We are glad to know that you enjoyed the wonderful tour with TTP Henry Travel Hoi An. And thank you very much for taking your time to write the review on our page. We do hope that you all are well there and let’s have a chance to welcome you and your friends next visits. Didn't feel like it

Guess our guide didn’t feel like it at all, walked around a bit bored and told us about the sights in Hoi An. We had the feeling that we had ruined his Saturday off pretty bad. He was certainly not unkind and really told me something but that was it. The best thing we learned was his tip for restaurant Cargo!

Response from the operator: Dear Mansveld, Thanks for taking your time for the review. Regarding the Hoi An City tour, we will show you the historical sites as below: - The Chinese Assembly Hall - The Ancient House in Hoi An - The Japanese Covered bridge - The traditional performance - The Hoi An Folklore Museum - The handicraft workshop, local market The tour guide handled this tour is one of our best English speaking tour guide . Perhaps there are some misunderstandings here. Please contact us if you have any concerns and have a good holiday a head! Best regards, Henry

Family Tour of Hoi An

The tour by Henry was fascinating. He gave us a tour of Hoi An ranging from temples and the Japanese Bridge, to the food market and the best coconut coffee in town. His historical knowledge of Vietnam, and most places in general, is amazing. We took breaks when we needed, had a few local snacks and had a great time. He was friendly, informative and I highly recommend you take a tour with him!

How far in advance should I book Private tour Hoi An Coconut basket boat ride and Ancient town?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. +

How many days do you need in Hoi An?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
