Zona Arqueologica De Coba
Step into the ancient Mayan city of Coba, one of the few archaeological sites where you can still explore at your own pace, surrounded by jungle. Travel your paths by bike or traditional tricycle, a comfortable and fun way to discover temples and structures hidden among the vegetation. During the tour, your guide will share Mayan history and culture clearly and dynamically, avoiding heavy explanations. You will also have free time to explore on your own and, if you wish, climb Nohoch Mul, one of the highest pyramids in the Yucatan Peninsula, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the jungle. This experience is designed to be active, flexible and accessible to all types of travelers.

You can choose between Cenote Choo-Ha and Cenote Tankach-Ha, two unique options with different characteristics: Choo-Ha : ideal if you are looking for crystal clear waters, tranquility and a more relaxed atmosphere. Tankach-Ha – perfect if you want a more adventurous experience, with a wide cavern and platforms to jump into the water. The Mayan Riviera the RIGHT WAY
Miguel (“Mike”) was absolutely amazing. We booked two private excursions with him, and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. What really sets Mike apart from other tour guides is his knowledge. He has an archaeological certification, so everything he shared was based on research and evidence rather than speculation or stories designed purely to entertain. I won’t get into some of the myths we heard other guides telling, but it was refreshing to learn the true history of the Mayan civilization from someone with genuine expertise. Mike speaks excellent English, took us to fantastic local restaurants, and perfectly timed our visits to the ruins and cenotes so we practically had them all to ourselves. At Cobá, he even climbed to the top of the temple with us, continuing to explain the history and significance of what we were seeing. While most guides stayed in the shade at the bottom, Mike hustled back down the pyramid just so he could capture an incredible photo of us at the summit. And speaking of photos—his underwater photography at the cenotes was simply incredible. Several of those pictures are going to be framed and hanging in our home, and I say that without exaggeration. If you want to experience the Riviera Maya the right way, learn the true history of the Mayan civilization, and visit breathtaking cenotes with an exceptional guide, I can’t recommend Riviera Maya Private Tours and Miguel highly enough. Thank you, Mike, for making our trip unforgettable!
