100/10 would recommend
Magnificent experience from start to finish! The tequila tasting was absolutely exceptional. I learned so many fascinating facts about the history, production process, and the different flavor profiles of each tequila, which made me appreciate the craft even more. The host was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the experience both educational and fun. Every tasting was thoughtfully presented, and the entire atmosphere was welcoming and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone, whether you’re new to tequila or already a fan. Truly a 10/10 experience—I would definitely do it again

Avoid !!
do not book !!!! Host cancelled last minute and refused to give us a new time. Needed to get a refund and missed out
Response from the operator: This does not reflect what actually happened; we offered to change the time and date more than three times because the issue was on your end, not ours. It is unfortunate that there are people like this who undermine our work.

A Highlight of our trip!
A major highlight of our trip. We learned so much! The host is so knowledgeable, friendly and cares about what he does. He answered all our questions and was very thorough. The experience is well worth the money. He also gave us some recommendations for dinner after which were great!

Great experience while in Tulum!
Great experience! We were supposed to have a private event but somehow there was a mix-up and my husband and I wound up joining another group for their tasting experience. Everyone was cool with it and we wound up having a great time! Our guide was very knowledgeable about both tequila and mezcal and shared some amazing picks with us to taste. Definitely take a cab here and get a card or phone number from a cab driver so they can come back to pick you up. The shop is located outside of the main Tulum downtown area and there won't be a lot of cabs driving by once the tasting is over.

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Tequila and Mezcal Tasting Session in Tulum: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.
How much does Private Tequila and Mezcal Tasting Session in Tulum cost?
+
Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tequila and Mezcal Tasting Session in Tulum take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.
Is Private Tequila and Mezcal Tasting Session in Tulum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tequila and Mezcal Tasting Session in Tulum?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tequila and Mezcal Tasting Session in Tulum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tequila and Mezcal Tasting Session in Tulum?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tequila and Mezcal Tasting Session in Tulum start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tulum?
+
On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tulum?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tulum?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
