First time surfing, unreal experience
We had the best time surfing with the surf point crew! It was our first time surfing and it was incredible. We already booked a second lesson for this week. Awesome shop, bought adorable sweatshirts too. Great place!

Tenerife Surf Point
We took a surfing lesson in Surf Point in August in a group of eight – four adults and four children. The two younger kids (9 years old) had their own instructor, while the older children and adults trained with another one. Despite their young age, the instructors were very professional and made us feel completely safe. The kids were thrilled, and we had a great time as well. The only downside was the rocky beach – worth keeping in mind. Other than that, we definitely recommend it! 🌊🏄♂️

Best surf school in Tenerife
Surf school at this location was the highlight of our holiday. The staff were extremely friendly and professional, as first time surfers we rode our first waves from the start. An excellent time was had by all. Instruction at the shop followed by the surf. After, fully exhausted by the activities, we were treated with a warm drink and biscuits while the instructor went through the pictures of us surfing and showing us what we did right and what we did wrong so that we are better prepared for the next time. It was excellent value for money and something we will do again. Their new shop is well stocked and great value, really modern and clean. Surf instructor was excellent. Thankyou Tenerife Surf Point, We loved it!

Personal training
My wife and I had our first personal training session with Ihor, he explained everything really well on land, then we moved to the ocean and even managed to stand up on the board a couple of times :) It was harder than I thought, but definitely a great experience. I recommend it!

Awesome first surf experience!
I had a great experience with Tenerife Surf Point school! They provided everything I needed — board, wetsuit, and coral shoes. Before getting into the water, we had a quick but thorough briefing on safety and technique. Our instructor was with us in the water the whole time, giving real-time feedback and helping us catch waves. He was super attentive and pointed out mistakes right away, which helped a lot. At the end, we reviewed photos from our lesson together, and each of us received personalized tips based on our personal mistakes — that was really useful and motivating! Also, if needed, you can ask for a Russian-speaking instructor, which is a great bonus. Highly recommend this school if you want to have fun and actually improve your skills 🌊🏄♀️

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does Private Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas cost?
+
Prices start at $110 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is Private Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 167 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas?
+
Around 58 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
