About this experience
Private tour up to 10 people, ideal for couples, group of friends or family. From the traditional walk to sunset or a 2-hour walk in the morning or in the afternoon. Departure from the Doca de Alcântara (Spanish), we have the first tourist spot : the Square of Commerce, we wait a few minutes so that you can breathe deeply and absorb all the charm of this place of the Lisbon city. River below, we passed along the south bank where we saw from close the alive Christ King blessing Lisbon! Next, we pass the iconic Tower of Bethlehem. Once river above, we will know by passage one of the main monuments of Lisbon, the Pattern of Discoveries. Next we have the Museum of Electricity and the MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology. The walk follows below the famous April 25 bridge. The idea of building the Monument to Christ the King emerged in 1934, during a visit to Brazil by the then Cardinal Patriarch of Lisbon, D. Manuel Gonçalves Cerejeira. As he passed through Rio de Janeiro, he saw the imposing image of Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado and the desire to build a similar project in front of Lisbon was born in his heart. The first stone for the construction of the monument was laid on December 18, 1949, after the end of the war. It was opened on May 17, 1959. This monument is the best viewpoint overlooking the city of Lisbon, offering a wide view over the capital and the 25 de Abril Bridge. In numerous tourist reports about Lisbon, the sanctuary and monument to Christ the King, Almada's landmark, appears.

An exceptional afternoon on the boat with Paulo and Kelly. So relaxing cruising down the river watching the sunset and the beautiful colours. The service from the crew was flawless, an unforgettable day for us.

Unforgettable experience
Absolutely gorgeous time on the boat! Crew and captain were so kind, and an unbeatable experience to have the boat to yourself as you watch the sunset! So many small details made the experience even better, from a bottle of wine, to a generous tapas plate to munch on. One of the highlights of our trip!

Core memories!
This was the most fun we've ever had! All my sister wanted to do for her birthday was a private sunset boat cruise and this one exceeded our expectations! Paulo and Kelly went out of their way to make her birthday special even though I only told them about it day ot. They gave us free wine and sparkling rose and even got her a cute birthday muffin with a candle. This was so thoughtful and personalized. It you get a chance, detinitely prioritize this cruise. They also took us past the most beautiful destinations and adjusted the time a little so that we were on the water perfectly at sunset time. We telt so taken care of and special. The sail boat was beautiful and we got the most amazing photos. So many core memories were made! Do this cruise with Paulo and Kelly!!

We had such a wonderful time with Paulo and Kelly - it was a private booking for my family (two adults and two kids, ages 7 and 9). And then we also had a family friend with us. Paulo and Kelly were wonderful hosts, accommodating our last-minute booking. Their boat was beautiful - the perfect size for our group. They treated us with desserts and croquettes and drinks and sailed us up and down the coast of Lisbon. We had a relaxing time and would absolutely recommend the experience!

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Sunset Sailing Boat Tour in Lisbon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Private Sunset Sailing Boat Tour in Lisbon cost?
+
Prices start at $240 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Sunset Sailing Boat Tour in Lisbon take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Private Sunset Sailing Boat Tour in Lisbon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Sunset Sailing Boat Tour in Lisbon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Sunset Sailing Boat Tour in Lisbon suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Sunset Sailing Boat Tour in Lisbon?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Sunset Sailing Boat Tour in Lisbon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
