What you get

    About this experience

Start your day trip with pick up from your hotel or cruise port with an air-conditioned minivan. Your English-speaking driver will transport you along the Sorrento Peninsula where you can enjoy splendid views of Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The first stop will be in Positano with its small pastel-colored houses and narrow alleys. You will have the opportunity to visit the city's many small leather and linen boutiques. Later, you will visit Amalfi, it is the main city and the historic soul of the coast. You will stop in Piazza Duomo, where you will visit the Cathedral of Sant'Andrea and stroll through the historic center. So stop for lunch (at your expense) before continuing to Ravello. Ravello has long been a haven for artists and writers. Here you will visit Villa Rufolo and its gardens which inspired the German composer Richard Wagner. The tour will end at Villa Cimbrone, which offers the best views of the entire coast, before being returned to your hotel or port.

    Wonderful Tour

At first I was nervous to book this tour because it had minimal reviews. After speaking with someone at Viator I decided to book the tour and I am so glad I did. My mother and I were in Naples for a few days in September. Our driver met us right near our hotel right at the time we agreed upon. Our guide Chiado (hopefully I’m spelling that correctly) was wonderful. He let us decide the itinerary for the day. When my mom and I said that we were open to suggestions, since Chiado was a local, he provided us with numerous options. We took him up on all of his suggestions and we saw the most beautiful parts of this region in Italy. We went to Ravello, the Amalfi Coast and a beautiful winery at the base of Mt Vesuvius. Chiado not only provided us with ample information and facts about the region during our day together but he also made sure to bring us to each of these locations at the optimal time. He knew when to go there so that we would avoid the crowds. My mom was also traveling with a knee brace at the time and Chiado accommodated her wonderfully. I can not recommend this tour enough. If you’re looking for a private tour to fit your schedule and wants this is a great option.

    Our tour with Ginaluca

Ginaluca is wonderful! You can feel the love he has for his country and particularly, his home town. We were so enchanted with Positano and the Amalfi coast, the next we go to Italy, we are doing a land tour. The restaurant he took us to, Spectacular!! The food and the views were equally beautiful. Thank you Gianluca!

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What should I bring or wear?

    +

What are the best things to do in Positano?

    +

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Positano?

    +

How many days do you need in Positano?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
