What you get

    About this experience

"FOOD IS OUR COMMON GROUND, A UNIVERSAL EXPERIENCE" Food is a such an important part of everyday Thai life. Thai people usually have 5 meals a day and just walking the streets of Bangkok, you will see street food stalls and restaurants everywhere! However, this can be quite overwhelming for the tourist and many are left feeling confused about what to try. This is a common experience in China Town Bangkok, where there are hundreds of food stalls along one street. China Town is known by the locals as the best place to get street food, but for the tourist it can be impossible to navigate. This is why we have developed this tour. We wanted to share our local knowledge, our love of food and Thai culture with the tourist. This is an experience that you could not find on your own.

    Amazing experience Chinatown is incredible.

Amazing Golf was a great guide and took care of my Vegan requirements . Cannot recommend enough. Sights sounds and smells , tastes ... incredible . Golf was kind , knowledgeable and a delight to get to know . We would have been completely overwhelmed by China Town without a guide and he was great . You will not see anything like Bangkok ...its also dead easy to.get to and cheap on the Metro .

    Disappointing

Very poorly organised no designated stops, no drinking water and told to pay for public transport. We went on 2 tours and left the second tour half way through. Thoroughly disappointing. We saw this company on getaway and it looked really good. We have done many tours before and never been disappointed.

    Amazing experience

The guide, Nun, got us into some great food. Be prepared to having a lot of delicious food to eat-I’ve never experienced anything like it. Would recommend staying at a hotel nearby China Town because traffic can be bad getting there.

    Great evening, excellent guide

Our family party of 3 were privileged to have Ms Lee as our guide. Lee provided fascinating information in a friendly and professional manner, with a nice touch of humour. The foods we tasted were an interesting variety of dishes, which we now are more familiar with. The visit to the “secret bar” was an enjoyable way to end a great evening. Thank you, Lee!

PRIVATE - STEET FOOD TOUR CHINA TOWN incl. food and drinks: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.

How much does PRIVATE - STEET FOOD TOUR CHINA TOWN incl. food and drinks cost?

    +

Prices start at $2400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does PRIVATE - STEET FOOD TOUR CHINA TOWN incl. food and drinks take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.

Is PRIVATE - STEET FOOD TOUR CHINA TOWN incl. food and drinks worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule PRIVATE - STEET FOOD TOUR CHINA TOWN incl. food and drinks?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is PRIVATE - STEET FOOD TOUR CHINA TOWN incl. food and drinks suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book PRIVATE - STEET FOOD TOUR CHINA TOWN incl. food and drinks?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does PRIVATE - STEET FOOD TOUR CHINA TOWN incl. food and drinks start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bangkok?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangkok?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangkok?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
