The best Thai experience one could have.

(Excellent +) I cannot express how wonderful it was to have booked this cooking class. Angsana was wonderful. She took me to shop for the ingredients for my meal which was a great experience in itself. Every step was explained and interspersed the conversation was as enjoyable as the meal she helped me cook. I realize that my cooking utensils need to be upgraded and added to but overall it was a wonderful experience. I will be doing this again with her and look forward to my next culinary experience. Thank you

Authentic and wonderful Thai cooking experience, highly recommended!

It was such a pleasure learning Thai cooking from Angsana! Everything was perfect - from her warm hospitality to the attention to quality and detail she brought to every dish. I specifically wanted to learn recipes beyond the usual Thai cooking class staples, this definitely exceeded my expectations. Learning from Angsana felt like cooking with a friend - relaxed, no pressure, and genuinely fun. She was also generous in sharing little nuggets about Thai culinary culture, which made the experience so much richer. The morning market tour was a highlight too — a wonderful way to experience how locals go about sourcing their ingredients. You can enjoy what you cooked during the class or pack it for takeaway as well. With over 100 recipes to choose from, Angsana's passion for cooking and years of teaching experience, you won't go wrong with this class. My only wish? More time to learn even more dishes!

Great home cooking with an experienced Thai Cook

It was great to shop in a very authentic local market where we discussed the dishes we would like to cook. We were shown the different types of vegetables, fish and meat with explanations of what you would use them for. Our teacher showed us how to prepare the various ingredients in her home and then ensured we knew what to do practically with them . We then cooked three dishes which we then had for lunch. The whole experience was very informative and relaxed and we were made to feel at home

    Private Thai Home Cooking Lesson

A wonderful experience as part of our Thailand holiday January 2026. Angsana offers a good selection of authentic Thai recipies to cook from scratch at her home in Bangkok. If you want to, you can even arrange to go to the local market with Angsana to get the ingredients! Angsana has a family history that includes successful street market food. She speaks fluent English and offered invaluable advice on how to vary the recipies we chose. Also on ingredient substitutions with UK availability.

Private Thai Home Cooking Lesson (since 2004): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.

How much does Private Thai Home Cooking Lesson (since 2004) cost?

    +

Prices start at $1800 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Thai Home Cooking Lesson (since 2004) take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.

Is Private Thai Home Cooking Lesson (since 2004) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 56 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Thai Home Cooking Lesson (since 2004)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Thai Home Cooking Lesson (since 2004) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Thai Home Cooking Lesson (since 2004)?

    +

Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Thai Home Cooking Lesson (since 2004) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bangkok?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangkok?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangkok?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
