Authentic, Heartfelt & Unforgettable ♡

We had an absolutely extraordinary experience—far exceeding our expectations. It was a birthday surprise for my boyfriend, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. :) From the very first moment, Aoy (Aoywaan), our wonderful tour guide and chef, made us feel truly welcome. Everything was thoughtfully planned, creating an authentic and enriching experience. From local markets off the beaten track to a sunset boat trip and cooking together, every moment was special. We also learned so much and discovered many new flavors - from meat and fish to fruits and local drinks. Truly exceptional - we highly recommend it and would love to come back. Warm greetings from Andi & Steph

Great cooking experience. Loved thw fact that it was peraonalised and not with a group.

Amazing experience. Highly recommend this to anyone with an interest on Thai cooking . Aoy was a great host and her knowledge of Thai ingredients and their health benefits made this a great experience from start to finish.

Iron chef instructor in Bangkok

Call her when you grab your ride. Makes it an easy transfer. Definitely say yes to the flower market and the original floating market. Enjoy sampling the various fruits and small bites. After that.... the best is yet to come. You will take a private driver ride arriving at her restaurant where the she will have you prepare three delicious dishes. I learned some great techniques for preparing this yummy and medicinal meal. All ingredients were fresh and loaded with flavor!

Cooking Thai food with an Authentic Thai Iron Chef!

This was incredible! Her team picked us up from our hotel and gave a personal tour of a huge flower market and food market explaining the history and letting us taste special fruits and seasoning. They purchased their favorite market food and snacks for us to try. We then took a boat down the river to Chef Aoy Marungrueng’s restaurant where she gave us a personal hands on cooking class with recipes. We learned how to make a simple Thai tea, pad Thai, Galangal with coconut milk and shrimp soup, Thai green papaya salad and sweet sticky rice and mango. Chef Aoy is an Iron Chef and personally taught us her techniques for cooking these traditional Thai recipes. What a wonderful time! I highly recommend!

Incredible authentic experience

We joined Aoy on the cooking class during our most recent trip to Bangkok and we were thoroughly impressed. You get to see a different part of the city during the market and temple visit - what a joy to have a local show one around like this! The cooking class itself is well presented, very interactive and a lot of fun. The food itself was delicious and the atmosphere incredible.

PRIVATE Thai Cooking Class & Scenic Boat Ride in Bangkok with Aoy: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.

How much does PRIVATE Thai Cooking Class & Scenic Boat Ride in Bangkok with Aoy cost?

+

Prices start at $149 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does PRIVATE Thai Cooking Class & Scenic Boat Ride in Bangkok with Aoy take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.

Is PRIVATE Thai Cooking Class & Scenic Boat Ride in Bangkok with Aoy worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule PRIVATE Thai Cooking Class & Scenic Boat Ride in Bangkok with Aoy?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is PRIVATE Thai Cooking Class & Scenic Boat Ride in Bangkok with Aoy suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book PRIVATE Thai Cooking Class & Scenic Boat Ride in Bangkok with Aoy?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does PRIVATE Thai Cooking Class & Scenic Boat Ride in Bangkok with Aoy start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bangkok?

+

On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangkok?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangkok?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
