    A magical and unforgettable experience

This tour was truly unforgettable. From the start, everything felt magical. The pickup was perfectly organized, and the guides immediately made me and my friend feel comfortable and safe. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful throughout the entire experience. What stood out most was how caring and considerate the guides were, making sure we could fully relax and enjoy every moment. One of the coziest and most wonderful experiences I’ve ever had. The dinner was excellent, and we enjoyed the delicious Finish drink during the time we were sitting in the igloo. Highly recommended. Thank you for everything! I would definitely come back! :)

Response from the operator: Thank you so very much for your kind and words! Our goal is always to create an environment where our guests feel like they are among friends, so we are thrilled to hear that our guides made you feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared for. It’s wonderful to know that you were able to fully relax and soak in the magic of the igloo and that delicious Finnish drink! Sharing these cozy, unforgettable moments with you and your friend was a pleasure. We’ll be sure to pass your thanks along to the whole team—they will be so happy to hear they made your stay special. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another 'magical' experience whenever you return to Finland! Warmly, The Guide Father Team

    unique experience and best guides!

We chose Guide Farther for our Rovaniemi experience and it was absolutely the right decision. From the start, everything was very well organised — including a comfortable transfer to the location. The igloos are set not far from a lake, which gives a good chance to see the Northern Lights if the weather allows. (Guides do their best to help you to catch the lights) The food was amazing — definitely the best we had in Rovaniemi. What really made the experience stand out were the guides. They are true professionals and took care of everything, so we could just relax and enjoy the evening. We had the quad riding at the end of March — it was so much fun, and at the same time we felt very safe. Helmets and warm overalls were provided. A truly memorable experience — highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such kind words! Reading your review truly made our day. We are sincerely grateful that you chose Guide Farther for your Lapland adventure. Our team always strives to make our guests feel like more than just tourists—we want you to feel like friends who are being looked after every step of the way, from the cozy transfer to that final delicious bite of dinner. It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the quad biking! Late March is a spectacular time in Rovaniemi, and we’re thrilled we could provide that perfect mix of adrenaline and safety for you. May the memories of the Northern Lights and those peaceful moments by the lake stay with you for a long time. We would be absolutely delighted to welcome you back to our winter wonderland in the future! Warmest wishes, The Guide Farther Team

COMPLETE SCAM AND EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL We booked this experience hoping for an unforgettable and romantic evening. Instead, it turned into a stressful, rushed, and deeply disappointing ordeal that was absolutely NOT worth the high price we paid. Our igloo was NOT HEATED at all — the windows were frozen and it was freezing cold inside. We clearly saw one other igloo that was visibly heated, which makes this even more unacceptable. It was also NOT busy that evening, so there was absolutely no excuse for the lack of care, attention, or time. They easily could have taken more time to give us the special experience we paid for — but they chose not to. From the moment we arrived, everything felt rushed. We were pushed to eat immediately, the main course arrived almost instantly and was already COLD. We had no time to relax, no time to talk properly, and no time to enjoy the moment together. We did not even manage to take a single photo together inside the igloo — something you would expect from a “romantic” experience. The snowmobile tour was chaotic and poorly organized. There was no proper explanation, no photo stops, and no attempt to look for the Northern Lights, despite favorable conditions shown on the aurora app. Even worse, the snowmobile tour was EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. The guide deliberately led us through deep snow where we nearly tipped over and even tried to send us down a very steep slope, which we rightly refused. In the end, the guide himself admitted that this was dangerous. Driving at speeds of up to 100 km/h is completely irresponsible and put us intentionally at risk. This is shocking and highly unprofessional. After a very short ride, we were sent back to the freezing igloo for dessert and then immediately told to leave and go to the car. Promised hot chocolate suddenly “wasn’t possible anymore.” What makes this situation even worse is what happened afterwards. The company admitted in writing that we did NOT receive the experience we paid for and acknowledged multiple mistakes. Despite this, they offered no compensation whatsoever and eventually stopped responding to our correspondence entirely. We did not sleep after this experience due to stress and frustration. We are not people who complain without reason, but this situation crossed a serious line. This organization is unprofessional, disorganized, and frankly disrespectful. It feels like a pure CASH GRAB. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. You will not get what is promised, and if something goes wrong, they take zero responsibility. Consider yourself warned.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few important points regarding your visit. Firstly, all of our igloos are automatically heated simultaneously 3 hours before the pick up from the hotel, and the fireplace continuously contributes to warmth throughout the evening. It is therefore not possible for one igloo to be colder than the others. Regarding the snowmobile tour, our guides always provide a full safety briefing before each ride, including instruction on proper driving techniques. Tipping over slightly during turns is normal and part of correctly handling the snowmobile, as it involves both steering and shifting body weight. For safety, all of our snowmobiles for customers especially for people with no previous driving experience are equipped with speed limiters, and the maximum speed is 40 km/h, because this drive/tour is absolutely not about adrenaline and speed - so driving at 100 km/h is not possible, also because it would violate government regulations (car highway limit on the way to The Guide Father’s is 80km/h). Our snowmobiles are designed to handle snow up to 1 meter deep and no surroundings are steeper than 25-35 degree angle. We deliberately marked photo stops along the ride to help guests capture memories, and our guides always aim to maximize the enjoyment of the tour. While we understand the desire to see the Northern Lights, these are a naturally occurring phenomenon and can never be guaranteed, as visibility depends on solar activity, cloud cover, weather conditions, geomagnetic activity, and moon phase. Just to clarify, as written in the itinerary of the tour is in total 4 hours: 30 minutes drive from hotel to The Guide Father’s location, 2 hours enjoying Finnish cuisine in the Igloo, 1 hour dress up and drive the snowmobiles in snowy forest then return drive back to the hotel 30 minutes. We take all feedback seriously and will continue to improve our service wherever possible. We hope this clarifies the points raised and provides context for the procedures and safety measures we have in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.

    Amazing experience!

The experience was amazing! Although we weren’t lucky enough to witness the full Aurora Borealis, we did get a glimpse of it, which was still breathtaking. I highly recommend this experience. Everything was fantastic—from the well-organized tour to the knowledgeable guides who made the trip even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was magical, and the journey itself was unforgettable. If you ever get the chance, don’t miss it!

    Expirience to remember for life!

It was a unique experience. Beautiful location, delicious food and exceptional service, from the transfer, to the care at dinner and, in addition, the drive through the snow-covered forest. Our guide (thank You, Ruslav) turned out to be a cultured and kind man who had a lot of knowledge about the surrounding area, the animals that live there and phenomena such as the aurora. It all added up to an unforgettable evening. Thank you for this! We strongly and sincerely recommend this attraction

PRIVATE SERVICE Glass Igloo Dinner Under Northern Lights*****: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rovaniemi.

How much does PRIVATE SERVICE Glass Igloo Dinner Under Northern Lights***** cost?

    +

Prices start at $432 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rovaniemi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does PRIVATE SERVICE Glass Igloo Dinner Under Northern Lights***** take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rovaniemi is not rushed.

Is PRIVATE SERVICE Glass Igloo Dinner Under Northern Lights***** worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 41 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rovaniemi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule PRIVATE SERVICE Glass Igloo Dinner Under Northern Lights*****?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is PRIVATE SERVICE Glass Igloo Dinner Under Northern Lights***** suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book PRIVATE SERVICE Glass Igloo Dinner Under Northern Lights*****?

    +

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rovaniemi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rovaniemi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does PRIVATE SERVICE Glass Igloo Dinner Under Northern Lights***** start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rovaniemi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rovaniemi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rovaniemi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Rovaniemi: Guaranteed Viewing & Unlimited Mileage, Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon & Frozen Waterfalls Tour with BBQ, Rovaniemi:%100 Guaranteed Northern Lights Hunt&Free Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rovaniemi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rovaniemi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
