    Aurora Adventure

It snowed that day, and we set out knowing we couldn't see it. The guide showed us the forest in the snow, the hunter's hut, the footprints of the reindeer, and the stars in the sky were very bright and clear despite the snow. The pilot said it was also a peculiar phenomenon. After that we tasted hot blueberry juice and grilled sausage. Of course we'd love to see the aurora, but if we don't, enjoy the process, see the different landscapes, experience the moment and relax.

Avoid. Company which over promise and under deliver

We booked on trip advisor but operator cancelled and contact is to make direct booking. And on the night , right in the beginning the driver told us the chance of see northern light is very low but they not advise or offer to change so we went ahead. We did not get to see any northern light. The next night we had a dinner in glass igloo with them booked too and there was supposed to have kids snow mobile included which they did not have ready that night. As we had a free day the next day they asked if we would like to book ice fishing with them too and the kids can have snow mobile the next day, so we did. They did not give any invoice, confirmation or agreement. The next day the driver was late for 20 mins and when we’re express displeasure he insisted that booking was for 10AM and not 9:30AM and chased us out of van. The staff promised that full refund will be provided within an hour but in the end the office only gave half and that was after 2 chaser and 6 hours later. When questioned they said they gave a lot of of BS excuse. Book with this company at your own risk.

    A very fun experience

We loved the place, the food we've eaten fantastic, including dessert. Although we haven't been lucky and haven't seen Auroras, too bad. Very friendly and nice driver.

PRIVATE SERVICE Northern Lights Adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rovaniemi.

How much does PRIVATE SERVICE Northern Lights Adventure cost?

    +

Prices start at $225 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rovaniemi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does PRIVATE SERVICE Northern Lights Adventure take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rovaniemi is not rushed.

Is PRIVATE SERVICE Northern Lights Adventure worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rovaniemi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule PRIVATE SERVICE Northern Lights Adventure?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is PRIVATE SERVICE Northern Lights Adventure suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book PRIVATE SERVICE Northern Lights Adventure?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rovaniemi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rovaniemi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does PRIVATE SERVICE Northern Lights Adventure start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rovaniemi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rovaniemi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rovaniemi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Rovaniemi: Guaranteed Viewing & Unlimited Mileage, Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon & Frozen Waterfalls Tour with BBQ, Rovaniemi:%100 Guaranteed Northern Lights Hunt&Free Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rovaniemi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rovaniemi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
