Worth the drive!!
We booked this thinking it was a tour but it was only the car service to/from Plitvices Park. We were asked if we wanted to pay an additional $180 for a tour guide but we opted to do it on our own. It was amazing! We hiked path H and it took about 5 hours. You do need to buy your own tickets in advance- we didn’t know this and luckily Mickey (our driver) helped us out when we go to the park and was able to help us get them on the spot despite showing zero availability online. Our drive to Plitvice National Park was one of the highlights of our trip to Croatia, thanks to our outstanding driver from Grayline- Mickey!! From the moment we were picked up, he was so friendly, professional, and made us feel completely at ease. The drive was comfortable and safe, and Mickey shared fascinating information about Croatia’s history, culture, and the beautiful countryside along the way. He was so happy to answer my kid’s questions, offered excellent local recommendations for us to eat authentic food, and made the journey just as enjoyable as our time in the park. Mickey’s thoughtful service, punctuality, and genuine hospitality made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. If you’re planning a visit to Plitvice National Park we highly recommend this driver. They truly went above and beyond to make our day memorable, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you for helping make our visit to one of Croatia’s most beautiful destinations so special!

Really beatiful
It was a great trip, Frane guided us through the most beatiful waterfalls i've ever seen. Though It rained a little in the morning that didn't ruin the experience at all as it was still as great.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely feedback! We’re glad to hear that Frane guided you through the beautiful waterfalls and that a little morning rain didn’t spoil your experience. Nature can be even more magical with a bit of rain sometimes! We hope to welcome you again for another wonderful trip.

Such a WOW factor here!
We had arrived in Croatia with just one thing on our minds…waterfalls! After this tour, we had tons of things on our mind. Frane was our guide/driver for the day and he was punctual, professional and personable. Frane shared a wealth of information about Croatia which we were enamored with. Our luggage got lost and we didn’t have any of our rain gear. Frane was able to line us up with a couple rain pouches and off we went. It is a lot of walking and a lot of WOW’ ing. The cascading waterfalls of Plitvice National Park is simply one of the best experiences for those that seek cascading waterfalls. The water has the power and will find a way. As we walked in awe of all that we saw. It was simply an amazing day and to make it even better, ask for Frane!

We had a great time at the beautiful lakes with Mia and Ante, the day was nicely organised, thank you! The walking is not bad at all and the pacing and avoiding of crowds is good :)

Private Plitvice lakes tour from Split: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Split.
How much does Private Plitvice lakes tour from Split cost?
+
Prices start at $390 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Split usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Plitvice lakes tour from Split take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Split is not rushed.
Is Private Plitvice lakes tour from Split worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Split, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Plitvice lakes tour from Split?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Plitvice lakes tour from Split suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Plitvice lakes tour from Split?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Plitvice lakes tour from Split start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Split within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Split?
+
On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Split?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Split?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
