    Highly recommend!

Patrick is a fantastic guide! We have already recommended his tours to friends and family! We really enjoyed Pikes Peak and Manitou Springs (lunch at the brewery was fantastic!), but Garden of the Gods was the highlight of the day for us!

Patrick from Scout was the best! Perfect Colorado Experience

Patrick and the Scout Tour were fantastic! My wife and I did the private trip from Denver to Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, and the Cog Train to Pikes Peak. Patrick picked us up at our hotel on time in a beautiful luxury SUV. He was a professional and safe driver and has the perfect personality for the job. He made the trip entertaining, pointing out interesting things along the way. He knew all the best photo spots and even took our picture several times. He is also an expert on Manitou Springs and seems to be friends with everyone in town. He kept us on schedule all day, but we never felt rushed at all. Seriously, it was probably the best travel/tour experience we've ever had and well worth the price. Next time we'd like to do the Red Rocks Tailgating trip!

Response from the operator: Hey Mike! It was an awesome day. I'm glad to hear it was a great experience for you guys. Thank you for trusting Scout during your time in Colorado. We would love to host you on our Red Rocks Tailgate experience in the future. Wishing you all the best!

    Wonderful Experience

This tour was amazing. It exceeded my expectations. Patrick, our tour guide, anticipated every need including blankets and umbrellas for the cog wheel trip to the top of the mountain. I recently had a hip and knee replacement and Patrick adjusted the pace to meet my needs. This experience was a 10 out of 10.

Response from the operator: Hi Julie! We are so glad to hear you had a great experience. Come back for another Colorado adventure with Scout anytime.

Private tour seeing Denver highlights, Garden of the Gods and taking the COG Railway to Pikes Peak via COg Railway, an

Excellent tour! We highly recommend it!! Our driver Patrick did a fantastic job showing us all the sights including walking around Garden of the Gods with us and showing us the highlights there. His knowledge/recommendations regarding the best shops and restaurants to visit at Manitou Springs made that stop very enjoyable. And his narration regarding the history of the places we visited as well as his easy going manner made for a really fun day! The COG railway to Pikes Peak was an awesome experience as well and certainly one of the many highlights of this tour. The views are breathtaking there and not to be missed. The Suburban was an exceptionally comfortable vehicle to spend the day in with our party of three. Patrick thought of everything from charging cables for our phones, Gatorade, plenty of water, extra blankets for Pikes Peak and even binoculars. Wonderful job Patrick! You made our limited time in Denver most enjoyable and we were able to accomplish seeing all of the sights on our list in one day!!

Response from the operator: Hey Bryan! It really was an awesome day. It was an absolute pleasure hosting your family. Hope you guys enjoyed the baseball game and the rest of your time in Denver. Thanks for your kind words. Wishing your family all the best!

Private Pikes Peak COG Railway, Manitou & Garden of the Gods: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Denver.

How much does Private Pikes Peak COG Railway, Manitou & Garden of the Gods cost?

    +

Prices start at $799 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Denver usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Pikes Peak COG Railway, Manitou & Garden of the Gods take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Denver is not rushed.

Is Private Pikes Peak COG Railway, Manitou & Garden of the Gods worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 47 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Denver, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Pikes Peak COG Railway, Manitou & Garden of the Gods?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Pikes Peak COG Railway, Manitou & Garden of the Gods suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Pikes Peak COG Railway, Manitou & Garden of the Gods?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Denver can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Denver and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Pikes Peak COG Railway, Manitou & Garden of the Gods start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Denver within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Denver?

    +

Denver is a launch pad. Rocky Mountain National Park, Pikes Peak, Red Rocks and the Georgetown rail loop all run as day trips, and altitude makes the timing of your first hike matter. In town: brewery crawls, Union Station food walks and Red Rocks show nights. We rank mountain operators on van size, pace and whether they build in altitude acclimatisation. On Outty we rank every Denver experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Downtown Denver Food Tour, Twilight Ghost Tour, Small Group Tour of Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods from Denver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Denver?

    +

June to September for open mountain passes, or December to March for ski shuttles. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Denver?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
