    Great Hawaiian experience

The tour was enjoyable and the driver was very well informed and able to answer questions. Also pointed out all the different things to look at like the waterfalls. explained the different areas that we went through. Showed us the black sand beaches and talked about how they were made. The vehicle was comfortable and cleanliness was good and made it more pleasant for the road to Hana ride. Then the Cultural show and interaction was great as well. First time I ever got to throw spears like the early Hawaiin people did when they hunted and games they played for enjoyment. Then the actual show was amazing. The gentleman that did the tour was even more impressive with knowledge and interaction with the people in the crowd. The young lady that Hulu danced was very impressive and seemed to enjoy interacting with the crowd. The food that was served was more authentic than anything. I went to one of the bigger Luau’s before and this was better than that. The food was more authentic also and didn’t seem like the mass produced food at the big shows. I would highly recommend this to everyone that I know and to anyone that wants a more down to earth and authentic Hawaiian experience.

    Excellent highlight of my trip

My last trip to Maui February 2023 I decided to go on a tour of Hana and I came across Mana'o Tours they were offering a authentic culture show and a guide threw Hana. The night before I went to a luau and comparing to the road to Hana tour hands own was an better experience I got to play in makahiki games which is a hawaiian warrior game. The best thing that I thought was on the actual tour itself the driver Gerard was very knowledgeable about culture, the Island and the overall history of the island in which it kept it interesting. Gerard kept our attention was funny there was no dull moments in the tour. The lunch was amazing I had i had the Kalua pork and I recommend that lunch to everyone. The tour threw hana was a laid back and fun time i got to see some ot the worlds most beautiful water falls i ever seen. Got to go to the only black sand beach on Maui. We went swimming at at some of the water falls and ,i never jumped off a rock until then lol. What i forgot to mention was that they also pick you up at your hotel and drop u back at the end of the day.I will definitely go on the tour again the next time I come to Maui.

Private Native Tour of the Road to Hana with Cultural Lunch Show: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Maui.

How much does Private Native Tour of the Road to Hana with Cultural Lunch Show cost?

    +

Prices start at $1700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Maui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Native Tour of the Road to Hana with Cultural Lunch Show take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Maui is not rushed.

Is Private Native Tour of the Road to Hana with Cultural Lunch Show worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Maui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Native Tour of the Road to Hana with Cultural Lunch Show?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Native Tour of the Road to Hana with Cultural Lunch Show suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Native Tour of the Road to Hana with Cultural Lunch Show?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Maui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Maui and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Native Tour of the Road to Hana with Cultural Lunch Show start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Maui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Maui?

    +

Maui's three signature days are the Hana road, the Haleakala summit sunrise and the Molokini snorkel sail, and all three are logistics problems as much as experiences. Sunrise summit entry is permit-controlled, Hana is a ten-hour driving day, and Molokini boats vary wildly in size. Our ranking rewards operators who handle permits and keep boat capacity low. On Outty we rank every Maui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Molokini Crater + South Maui Coast Adventure from Kihei, Maui, Maui: VIP Private Road to Hana Tour with Pick Up, Road to Hana Adventure Maui Tour with Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Maui?

    +

April to May and September to October. Whale season runs December to April. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Maui?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
