Recommend again and again!!
Such an amazing experience tasting the different regional tequilas and mezcal, we never really were mezcal fans until this :) and the whole experience was at our Airbnb, and we were even offered a cocktail as well! Really great way to try the best tequila and mezcal and ask questions from a well seasoned expert
Response from the operator: That’s great to hear 😊 We’re really glad you enjoyed the tasting and that it even changed your perspective on mezcal—that’s always a great outcome. Being able to do the experience at your Airbnb and take the time to answer questions makes it much more personal. Hope to see you again on your next visit to Tulum, we’d love to host another experience for you.

World class private chef experience!
Our private chef experience during our honeymoon was nothing short of incredible and truly exceeded all of our expectations. From the very beginning, the team was incredibly supportive and attentive throughout the booking process, making everything feel easy, personal, and stress-free. The food itself was absolutely amazing—every dish was thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. You could tell how much care and passion went into each course. The presentation elevated the entire experience and made our honeymoon feel even more special and intimate. What really set this experience apart, though, was the hospitality. The conversation during and after the meal was warm, engaging, and genuine. It felt less like a service and more like being welcomed and cared for by people who truly love what they do. The kindness, warmth, and professionalism of the entire team made this a highlight of our honeymoon and a memory we will always cherish. We couldn’t recommend this experience enough.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such a beautiful and thoughtful review! 😊 It truly means a lot to our team to know that your private chef experience during your honeymoon was such a special moment for you. Creating intimate and memorable dinners is exactly what we love to do, and we’re so happy to hear that the booking process, the service, and every dish made the evening feel effortless and unique. Our chefs always put a lot of passion into preparing each course, from the flavors and presentation to the overall dining experience, so it’s wonderful to know it made your honeymoon even more memorable. Thank you for trusting us to be part of such an important celebration. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness and would love to welcome you again on your next visit to Tulum! 💛✨

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Mezcal and Tequila Tasting in Tulum: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.
How much does Private Mezcal and Tequila Tasting in Tulum cost?
+
Prices start at $103 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Mezcal and Tequila Tasting in Tulum take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.
Is Private Mezcal and Tequila Tasting in Tulum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Mezcal and Tequila Tasting in Tulum?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Mezcal and Tequila Tasting in Tulum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Mezcal and Tequila Tasting in Tulum?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Mezcal and Tequila Tasting in Tulum start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tulum?
+
On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tulum?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tulum?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
