A great overview of Lisbon with a super guide

We have just enjoyed a really interesting and fulfilling tour of Lisbon with our exceptional guide Paulo. The tour was in a comfortable minivan which we shared with a lovely family. Wewere picked up from our hotel in Cascais which was great. The tour was true to the description but in addition was Paulo's knowledge and excellent driving skills. He answered all my (many) questions and told us so much about living in Portugal and this area as well as historical facts. This tour gives a great overview of the attractions and areas of Lisbon. We would never have seen a fraction of it had we wandered around on our own. Now we have that familiarity we hope to return for a few days when the weather is cooler.

    City walking tour

We had a walking tour with Ines Sousa at Lisbon this February. Ines was absolutely amazing, knowledgeable in regard to city and the country history. Had a lot of recommendations (what to see). Highly recommended.

A daytrip to see the highlights of Lisbon from Cascais

We were staying in Cascais and wanted a tour to Lisbon to show us the highlights, so we could visit independently by train later in the week. We were picked up from out hotel at 9am, slightly early and got back around 5pm. There were 4 on our tour in a comfortable, clean minibus. Our guide, Adrian, was very friendly, enthusiatic and flexible - it took a while to understand his accent, but it wasn't an issue. There was sufficient time in Belém, Lisbon and nearby viewpoints overlooking the city. The price seemed reasonable, given the length of the tour.

Response from the operator: Dear Curiosity32728232620, Thank you for your review! We are very pleased that you enjoyed your private tour of Lisbon and that our guide Adrián performed well. Thank you for choosing Tugatrips!

    Excellent overview of Lisbon

Our guide and driver, Paulo, was a lifelong resident of the area and well versed in all the sights and the history of the area. He was a delight: informative, responsive to questions, and flexible when necessary. It was a full day tour but, other than entering the Jerónimos Sanctuary and a pitstop for a lovely pastry, all attractions were seen from the outside or driving by. Know that if you book this, it is merely an overview of the city and not an in-depth tour. I knew I did not have time to see everything I wanted in one day, so it suited my needs well. The most amazing part of the day? I didn’t notice until the very end of the tour, but Paolo never once consulted a GPS, whether driving between our pick up spot in Cascais to Lisbon, or weaving about the very narrow and twisting streets of the city. Now that it is someone you want guiding you!

Had an amazing day tour around Lisbon today with the awesome pairing of Barbara and David. Both of them are lovely people and made our day a truly memorable one (we were tempted to try and smuggle them back to the uk with us). This is a brilliant tour and the places and views are well worth it. Thank you guys 👌🏻🙏🏻 10/10

Response from the operator: We thank you 😃😃!

Private Lisbon, Belém and Alfama City Tour with Pastéis de Belém: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Private Lisbon, Belém and Alfama City Tour with Pastéis de Belém cost?

    +

Prices start at $125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Lisbon, Belém and Alfama City Tour with Pastéis de Belém take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Private Lisbon, Belém and Alfama City Tour with Pastéis de Belém worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Lisbon, Belém and Alfama City Tour with Pastéis de Belém?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Lisbon, Belém and Alfama City Tour with Pastéis de Belém suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Lisbon, Belém and Alfama City Tour with Pastéis de Belém?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Lisbon, Belém and Alfama City Tour with Pastéis de Belém start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
