Your new best friend in Istanbul
I cannot express enough, how amazing meeting and getting to know Istanbul through Eren’s eyes has been. He has made our trip undeniably better and we feel like we are walking away from Istanbul with a new friend, somebody that we hope to stay in touch with for a long long time. His passion about the history and culture of his hometown is admirable and you cannot help but to fall in love with it as well. He makes sure to take you to all of the best quality and best priced stands within the shopping tour. And he is always conscientious of catering to your criteria. Thank you so much friend. Hope to see you soon.

Visiting the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar was such a fun experience! Our guide was super helpful
Visiting the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar was such a fun experience! Our guide was super helpful I found everything I was looking for and even discovered places I would have definitely missed on my own. Really thankful for the guidance, it made the whole trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Totally recommend!

Tourist trap
I feel like such a fool going on this tour. I booked it for help navigating the bazaar and to make sure I avoided the tourist traps. Instead I was delivered to the tourist traps - with no help to bargain. I ended up paying 65 euro (approx $130 AUD) for a small box of Turkish delight, and felt pressured to buy bags which were so far out of my budget. I was jet lagged and am just kicking myself that I didn’t catch on earlier. On my later travels in Turkiye I learnt that this is often the case with bazaar tour guides and they get a commission for taking you to these tourist traps. It was a really disappointing start to my trip and I would definitely recommend you avoid. The bazaar is also not that confusing so I wouldn’t bother getting a guide. One star only because my guide did seem very nice, shared some history with me, and he did walk me to a good affordable restaurant once I said I was done shopping.

Great intro to bazaars
Nice leisurely way to spend our first day in Istanbul. Enjoyed the Egyptian bazaar and local restaurant with Eren

Look no further for the perfect guide!
Eren was a fabulous guide! He individualized the tour to our wants and needs. The pace was also perfect for our needs. We weren’t rushed, and had ample time to visit all of the shops that we wanted to. Eren took us to hidden shops, cleaner restrooms, helped us navigate public transportation and assisted with our price negotiations, all while educating us on the beautiful city of Istanbul.

Private Istanbul Shopping Tour in Bazaars: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Istanbul.
How much does Private Istanbul Shopping Tour in Bazaars cost?
+
Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Istanbul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Istanbul Shopping Tour in Bazaars take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Istanbul is not rushed.
Is Private Istanbul Shopping Tour in Bazaars worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Istanbul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Istanbul Shopping Tour in Bazaars?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Istanbul Shopping Tour in Bazaars suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Istanbul Shopping Tour in Bazaars?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Istanbul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Istanbul and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Istanbul Shopping Tour in Bazaars start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Istanbul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Istanbul?
+
On Outty we rank every Istanbul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour, Istanbul Luxury Bosphorus Yacht Cruise with Asian Side Stop, ISTANBUL BEST: Iconic Landmarks Full Day PRIVATE Guided City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Istanbul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Istanbul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
