Okay

The ride was good, would have liked it to actually go on a trail instead of circles, the customer service is not very good, the policies they follow are very very strict, so I don’t recommend booking until your in Banff and are sure you can make it on time. Or you will lose your money.

Response from the operator: Hi, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the ride overall, though we’re sorry parts of the experience didn’t meet your expectations. Our winter rides take place on our private property so we can properly maintain the snow packed trail and ensure a safe and controlled environment for both horses and riders. For this particular experience, we do clearly note in the description that it does not enter forest trails. While the route remains on maintained grounds, many guests still value the surrounding mountain views and occasional wildlife sightings. Regarding our policies, we understand they can feel strict. However, they are in place to ensure safety, proper scheduling, and fairness to all guests. We communicate these details in advance so visitors can make informed decisions before booking. We appreciate you taking the time to leave your thoughts. Feedback helps future guests know what to expect, and it helps us continue improving where possible.

Magical sleigh ride

Wonderful experience going on a sleigh ride. The horses worked so hard trekking through deep snow and our driver was so knowledgeable. I look forward to going again.

Unexpected boredom

Don't spend money on it, absolutely unexpectedly boring entertainment even for children, especially on a cold day. Not only that, but the "footman" doesn't close his mouth - you can hear much-needed information about her family, her life, her homeland, etc. They drive literally at the speed of a pedestrian for a whole 40 minutes. Better book a trip with the husky dogs.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. Our goal is to provide an enjoyable and memorable experience for all our guests, and we regret that this wasn’t the case for you. Our tours are designed to offer a relaxed and scenic experience, allowing guests to take in the surroundings at a comfortable pace. We understand that preferences vary, and we appreciate your perspective. Regarding our guide’s commentary, we aim to provide both informative and engaging content, but we will certainly take your comments into consideration to ensure the best experience for our guests. Thank you once again for sharing your experience with us! Best regards,

Disorganized, we lost the day

I didn’t have an experience, they cancelled it, and did not send me any email or any call to tell me that the experience was cancelled. so I had to get there the day of just for then to tell me that it had been cancelled, and then had to make a call to somebody else so they could refund my money. And it got worse because they couldn’t even find my reservation!

Nice family experience

Great activity for a family! From our three year old grandson, right up to Grandpa and Grandma, we enjoyed our experience with our driver, Mike. We only wished it had been a little longer! As advertised, we received some s'mores kits, and blankets, and some hot drinks were offered at the end. Nice way to spend part of our winter afternoon.

Response from the operator: Hi Ellen, Thanks for joining us on a winter sleigh ride with the family, we're so glad that everyone enjoyed our new larger private sleigh ride experience! We hope to see you all back in Banff again.

Private Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride In Banff: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Banff.

How much does Private Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride In Banff cost?

+

Prices start at $313 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Banff usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride In Banff take?

+

Plan for about 0.7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Banff is not rushed.

Is Private Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride In Banff worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 42 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Banff, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride In Banff?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride In Banff suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride In Banff?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Banff can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Banff and add a light layer if any part of the 0.7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride In Banff start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Banff within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Banff?

+

On Outty we rank every Banff experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and the Icefields Parkway Full-Day Tour, Hop-On and Hop-Off Banff Bus, ShuttleBus 2way Banff to Lake Louise (1Hr) and Moraine Lake (1Hr). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Banff?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Banff?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
