    Outstanding lesson

I had scheduled an afternoon lesson for me and my teenage daughters. Unfortunately, we could no longer make my scheduled time. However, the staff was so kind and accommodating and allowed us to have our lesson earlier that day. Mason did such a great job instructing us and helping us. He was outstanding! In addition, we loved the pictures the photographer took of all of us. I’d give them all a 10/10. Thanks again!

Response from the operator: Aloha! We are so happy to hear that you were able to reschedule, and you enjoyed your lesson with Mason! We agree with you, Mason is great! We will be sure to let him know you had an outstanding time. We hope to have you back soon! Aloha 🤙

Nice Surfing Lessons - Must Do!

We had three teenagers that did the surfing lessons, and they all really loved it! The instructor was great and they had another person taking pictures that you could purchase afterwards. If your on Waikiki beach, then you need to take surfing lesson - these guys did a great job teaching and creating excitement.

Response from the operator: Mahalo, Heather for leaving the review of our surf lesson. Glad you guys had a great time!

    Paddle Boarding with the Pros

Even tho we have paddle boarded before we chose to do the lessons since we’ve never tried it in the ocean. Gavin was amazing, he gave us tips on getting up and staying up through all the waves. Over all we were extremely happy with our lesson. Note to self: skip wearing a hat out on the water, it is a pain to keep track of when you fall in the water

Response from the operator: Yaaas! We think Gavin is pretty amazing and glad you think so too!! Hope you were able to hold onto your hat ;)

    Good for seeing turtles

i took a solo class, and the best part of the experience was seeing 5 turtles, one of which stuck it's head out on to the instructor's paddle board. i took the private course because there wasn't a time that worked for me with a group. SUP is a challenging sport, and i had only done it a few times.

Response from the operator: Sounds like a good omen seeing so many honu on your lesson! Very happy to hear you had a great time out on the water with us :)

    Fun time!

Our SUP lesson was a fun time - Don was really nice and encouraging. We got there a few minutes before check in time - and we started our lesson before the actual lesson time which was awesome because no waiting! But - the photographer wasn't there until about half way through our lesson so not a lot of pictures (only 2 of me on the board and the only other two I am in are the posed photos) There was a wee bit of an accident when my husband rammed into my backside with his board while on a wave (I wasn't standing at this point) and it was a pretty bad run in (nothing broken though - got it checked out - but man - am I sore and it was a bit painful to get to a standing position from sitting and sitting isn't awesome either!) This wasn't the instructor's fault or the company's fault of course, but just as a caveat - make sure you stay a good distance from your partner - especially if they don't know what they are doing (I was a good distance away forward - but not sideways I suppose lol) The instructor got my husband a flower lei since it was his birthday - a sweet touch. The desk staff were very friendly and nice. I would recommend Waikiki Beach Services for lessons - just watch out for getting hit in the backside!

Private Group SUP Lessons for 4 by Waikiki Beachboys at the Royal: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oahu.

How much does Private Group SUP Lessons for 4 by Waikiki Beachboys at the Royal cost?

    +

Prices start at $101 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oahu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Group SUP Lessons for 4 by Waikiki Beachboys at the Royal take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oahu is not rushed.

Is Private Group SUP Lessons for 4 by Waikiki Beachboys at the Royal worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oahu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Group SUP Lessons for 4 by Waikiki Beachboys at the Royal?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Group SUP Lessons for 4 by Waikiki Beachboys at the Royal suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Group SUP Lessons for 4 by Waikiki Beachboys at the Royal?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oahu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oahu and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Group SUP Lessons for 4 by Waikiki Beachboys at the Royal start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oahu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Oahu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Oahu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oahu: Full or Half Day Grand Circle Island Tour, Oahu Small-Group Circle Island Tour with Turtle Snorkeling, Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Oahu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Oahu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
