What you'll see and do
Wadi Shab
Through the Coast from Muscat to Quriyat and over the plateau Travel down and Reach Wadi Shab. You will be taken for breathtaking Visual Scenes, "the most beautiful among Muscat tours scenes", an easy walk through the Wadi and you will have a picnic there. About 40 minutes walk through the canyon and green terraced gardens will bring you to a series of streams and pools. You will now have the opportunity to swim in crystal clear water and swim through a narrow keyhole, magnificent cave to Surface inside, which contains an inspiring waterfall. The cave is a magnificent magical place. Stop at Fins Beach. Relax a while. Return to Muscat. (Kindly note that the wadi is strewn with rocks and pebbles which makes walking difficult. Advisable to wear sturdy walking shoes.

Truly memorable and once in a lifetime experience 🤩
Our guide Yousef was brilliant, he always ensured there was plenty of time to enjoy and maximize our experience, taking photos for us, stopping to see bonus sights, eg Gazzelles and camels by the roadside on the way home. He even brought us some homemade date cake that his wife had made. He was a true gentleman, very happy and nothing was too much trouble to ensure we had the best time ever. Would highly recommend him.

An Exceptional Guide – Ahmed Went Above and Beyond! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We cannot recommend Ahmed highly enough. From the very beginning, he was absolutely wonderful — patient, caring, professional and genuinely invested in making sure we had the best possible experience. We had Ahmed with us for two days, and what stood out most was how much care and attention he gave us throughout the entire experience. We had discussed beforehand the places we wanted to see and put together a plan based on our interests, and Ahmed followed it perfectly while also adding his own knowledge and recommendations along the way. He took us around Muscat and the surrounding sights, giving us detailed explanations of the history, culture and significance of every place we visited. He didn’t simply take us from one location to another — he made sure we understood what we were seeing and helped us appreciate the incredible beauty of Oman. We also visited Nizwa, and once again Ahmed was exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the different sites and their history rather than rushing us through them. He was always happy to answer our questions, take photos for us, wait patiently while we explored, and adjust the day around what we wanted to do. What I appreciated most was his genuine kindness. As two women travelling, having someone who was so respectful, trustworthy, patient and caring made such a difference. We always felt comfortable and looked after. Ahmed has that rare quality where you feel like you are travelling with someone who genuinely wants you to enjoy your trip, rather than simply completing a tour. He noticed the little things, listened to what we wanted, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. Oman is an incredibly beautiful country, but having Ahmed show it to us made the experience even more special. His knowledge, patience, professionalism and warmth are something we will remember long after leaving. If you are visiting Oman and are looking for a guide who will truly go above and beyond, ask for Ahmed. We would absolutely choose him again without hesitation. Booked this as a private day trip from Muscat for my wife and I, and it was one of the highlights of our whole Oman leg. Ahmed was an excellent guide — genuinely knowledgeable, relaxed pace, and clearly happy to tailor the day around us rather than run through a fixed script. The walk in is stunning — turquoise pools framed by canyon walls — but the swim through to the hidden cave at the end is what makes this unforgettable. Ahmed timed it well to avoid the crowds and gave clear guidance for the swim, which made us both feel completely comfortable with it. Having a private guide made a real difference — Ahmed’s local knowledge added so much, and it never felt rushed. Couldn’t recommend him highly enough if you’re planning a trip to Wadi Shab.

Fantastic day trip Wadi Shab. Ahmed was the perfect guide. Knowledgable and friendly, he made us immediately comfortable. Throughout the hike and swim our safety was his priority. A real professional, we had a brilliant time. We hope to book Ahmed for future tours.
