We highly recommend Machu Picchu Experiences to anyone planning a trip to Cusco

We had an incredible experience exploring Cusco and Machu Picchu with Machu Picchu Experiences. From start to finish, everything was smooth and well-organized, making our trip stress-free and enjoyable. Before our trip, they maintained constant communication, providing all the necessary details and ensuring we felt prepared. Once we arrived, their team was always available, checking in and making sure everything was running as planned. The transportation was perfect—pickups were always on time, and the schedule was well-structured, allowing us to make the most of our visit. We explored Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and took the train to Aguas Calientes without any issues. One of the things we appreciated most was their quick response and flexibility whenever small adjustments were needed. We highly recommend Machu Picchu Experiences to anyone planning a trip to Cusco and Machu Picchu. Their professionalism, reliability, and excellent customer service made our trip unforgettable!

BE AWARE: FRAUD (Betrug)

I have booked and payed the trip to Machu Picchu with this Operator over pick up from my hotel in Cusco, several weeks ago. So I was was waiting until the last day before the trip for a Message (Email, WhatsApp) from Operator in order to confirm the pickup. Nothing came until the afternoon before the trip, so I started to try to communicate with the Operator: Nobody answered to Emails and the phone had just an automatic service "please leave us a message". Feeling that something is heavily going wrong, I tried to visit the Operator's location and was shocked when I arrived in the given Operator adress in Cusco and found out that no Operator facililities (office, representation) were hosted there !! I immediately called the Peruvian Tourist Police and after some time a police car arrived. A very competent Police Officer managed to find the Operator of its phone number and cleared the situation: The Operator would pick me up from my hotel in the night as it was arranged, otherwise the Touristic Police would proceed with legal steps against that Operator. The operator got in panic and promised to sent his employee in my hotel at 20.00 in the night, i order to bring me my Machu Picchu ticket (without it entrance in Machu Picchu is impossible). If I had not involve the Touristic Police, the Operator would have totally ignore me and I would still wait for them to appear !! Even myHotel people admitted, that they never have seen such an unprofessional Operator behaviour before ... Be carefully and choose an Operator with high feedback, even if that cost something more. It is a pitty that you fly over the half globe for visiting Machu Picchu and such a greedy and unprofessional Operator cheats you at the end, so you wont bee able to visit the monument altough you payed him a lot of money !!!

Response from the operator: FAKE COMMENT. which hurts our company immensely. There was no Fraud because the tour to Machu Picchu was carried out successfully. We deal with different people from around the world but we do not accept this type of disrespectful behavior. We want to report this person who insulted our staff who went to give information to his Hotel one day before the tour. Maybe we had some shortcomings but there was never any fraud or deception to any of our travelers. Thank you very much

Private Full Day Tour to Machu Picchu: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does Private Full Day Tour to Machu Picchu cost?

+

Prices start at $319 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Full Day Tour to Machu Picchu take?

+

Plan for about 16 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is Private Full Day Tour to Machu Picchu worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 42 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full Day Tour to Machu Picchu?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private Full Day Tour to Machu Picchu suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 16-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private Full Day Tour to Machu Picchu?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 16-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Full Day Tour to Machu Picchu start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

+

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
