    About this experience

Enjoy a tour of Rome and the Vatican Museums in style. Our driver will meet you at the port around 7.30 and drive you to Rome. The car will not be at your disposal, it’s a walking tour. Our full day tour will be led by a fully licensed tour guide who will enter with you every sites, includes the most important sightseeing of Rome: Colosseum, Forum, Capitoline Hill, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Navona square, Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica. *Please note that our tour does NOT include the underground level because it takes at least 1 hour to visit there and in our opinion does not worth the time and money (it is not included in the standard Colosseum admission tickets), we prefer to dedicate that time to the Emperor palace instead. The full day tour is a private WALKING tour. That means you will not join another group but you will have a guide only for you for the entire tour. It is the best way of visiting Rome and the Vatican.

    Best excursion to Rome.

We were picked up when the ship arrived at the port, driver was waiting for us. My daughter wasn’t feeling well and on the way to the Colosseum, the driver stopped for my daughter. He was very pleasant and he was nice. He then dropped us off at the Colosseum where our tour guide, Tommaso Bertoldi, was waiting for us. I wish I could give him more than five stars, I cannot explain how brilliant Tommaso is. He took us everywhere. Everything is included in the package he took us. He is a professor of history and his the passion is beautiful to watch. When we got to the Vatican his knowledge, his passion, was contagious. We did our trip in 6 hours and I cannot imagine doing this Excursion any other way because especially the Vatican. It is so full of people and there’s so much to see and do the best way to do Rome. When you use this company you will not make any lies at any of the places included in this excursion Email the company and ask for Tommaso. You will not regret it, I cannot imagine being on the royal Caribbean excursion, with 30 other plus people, and I heard from many passengers on the ship that they did not enjoy the excursion and their excursion is 10 hours long. I am so glad that I used Viator. Includes: Pick up and drop off from Civitavecchia port * Entry/Admission - Vatican Museums * Entry/Admission - Sistine Chapel * Entry/Admission - St. Peter's Basilica * Entry/Admission - Vatican Museums * Entry/Admission - Sistine Chapel * Entry/Admission - St. Peter's Basilica * Entry/Admission- Coliseum What a great experience.

    what an Amazing Day

Massimo was a great guide - we saw everything we wanted to see in a day- he picked us up from the cruise port on time snd we had a full day. i prefer a separate driver and guide as it was hard to hear in the back- and he for obvious reasons needed to stay focused on the road . Our tour guide for the Vatican city tour was awesome!!Thank you Francesco!! he was attentive and very informative. Great tour !!

Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lake Bracciano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Full-Day Tour of Rome from Civitavecchia take?

Is Private Full-Day Tour of Rome from Civitavecchia worth it?

    +

That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Lake Bracciano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Private Full-Day Tour of Rome from Civitavecchia suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Full-Day Tour of Rome from Civitavecchia?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lake Bracciano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lake Bracciano and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Lake Bracciano?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lake Bracciano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Civitavecchia Shore Excursion: Best of Rome Private Tour, Food Tasty and History Tour in Civitavecchia, VIP Tour of Rome (3/5/8hrs) Colosseum & Vatican Museums. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lake Bracciano?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lake Bracciano?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
