    Don’t do this tour.

Wouldn’t do this trip again. As we are a group from a cruise we ended up not seeing most of the items listed as the driver, not a guide, wanted to take us to a winery and restaurant an hour each way out of the way up a mountain vs seeing the island. We basically paid $1900 for a driver up to the acropolis and then lunch at his friend’s restaurant. He dropped us off at old town bc that’s where the boat was and we did our own tours.

Response from the operator: We’re sorry to hear the tour didn’t quite meet your expectations! Let’s go through your points one by one: 1. According to our GPS logs (yes, we do check!), the tour itinerary and timings were followed exactly as advertised. 2. Nikos has 17 years of guiding experience, hundreds of cruise passengers each season, and more glowing reviews than a Hollywood star. 3. Lindos is about a one-hour drive from Rhodes Town. Unless we suddenly acquire a helicopter fleet (working on it 😅), that’s simply the fastest way. Lindos is a highlight and clearly mentioned in the itinerary. 4. Nikos kindly took you to a spot where locals eat. Fun fact: Greeks are famously picky about food, so if you see Greeks eating there—you’ve struck gold. Sorry you didn’t enjoy this thoughtful gesture. 5. Free time in the Old Town was indeed provided. If that wasn’t your cup of tea, a quick word with the guide could have helped—he’s great, but mind-reading isn’t in his skill set just yet. When booking tours with Viator, we recommend setting expectations based on the actual itinerary (rather than wishful thinking 😉). If you’d like any customizations, please share them with us in advance or directly with your guide during the tour. Safe and happy travels!

    This is a great tour

This was a great tour! Our bus was right on time in picking us up from the port. Our tour guide and driver were so friendly. We enjoyed the day very much and would recommed it over an excuersion offered by the cruiseline. It was private, comfortable and very enjoyable.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and positive review. We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your tour, the punctuality of our service, and our friendly staff. It was a pleasure hosting your private, comfortable journey and we look forward to welcoming you back on your next Mediterranean cruise!

    Most disappointing trip in Cyclades

This was by far the worst of the 7 tours we booked with Viator. The operator started emailing us while in transit to Greece requiring way more money due to influx of Americans and gas prices. We paid for this tour months ago. Somehow, they cancelled our trip thru TA and booked thru their own company with upped charges. Driver was nice, but left us at the foothills of Lindos where we got lost and wandered for over an hour. Finally contacted his offices to have them get him to come find us at a restaurant on top of a hill. He finally came. It was so hot. None of our other tours dumped us and were readily available to ensure we knew how and where to meet them. He was a nice guy - but gave my daughter and I a big scare. We went to a winery where we were greeted and then the man went to greet a larger group of people and left us standing, so we told the driver to take us back to the ship. Two terrible stops, no fun or good memories of Rhodes. Total rip off!!

Response from the operator: Are you certain you've posted your review to the correct business? First, this tour operates in Rhodes, which is entirely distinct from the Cyclades. Indeed, Lindos is situated on the island of Rhodes. However, if you have actually visited Lindos, you'd know that there are no restaurants atop the hill, there is the Acropolis of Lindos. This is primarily due to the fact that all the area atop is an archaeological zone. Consequently, all shops and restaurants are situated downhill, with not a single one existing at the top. You also mention that the operator cancelled your trip, originally booked through TripAdvisor, only to rebook it through their own company with increased charges. This operator must possess some kind of magic to execute such a feat! I've worked in this industry for many years, yet I am still unaware of any method that allows any supplier to book customers through their own company with higher charges, after cancelling with TripAdvisor. If we possessed such knowledge, w'd probably be wealthy and retired by now.:-) LOL For the record, we are a TripAdvisor supplier and do not have access to guest credit cards. All billing and refunds are handled by TripAdvisor, we merely provide the services. Furthermore, we don't have access to guests' email addresses, as all correspondence is conducted via Viator's messaging system. TripAdvisor supervises these processes. While we can cancel bookings in the event of unforeseen circumstances, there's no way for us to rebook them at an increased rate, or even at the same rate. Just to note, gas prices in Greece have remained steady for nearly a year, and we haven't observed an influx of American visitors yet. Best regards from sunny Rhodes!

    Amazing tour of Rhodes

We had an amazing time on our tour with Alexis! We were a larger group of 7, but Alexis was able to keep us all entertained and had a vast amount of information about everywhere we stopped. The transportation was spacious and comfortable. There are too many highlights to mention, but Lindos and the winery were particularly enjoyable. We had a relatively short amount of time in Rhodes during our cruise stop, but Alexis gave us plenty of time at each stop on the tour and we did not feel rushed. Our cruise visited many different islands in Greece, but Alexis made our stop in Rhodes one of the most memorable!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your time and review. It was such a pleasure for us to work with you. Alexis says hello sending best regards to you. You are most welcome to Rhodes in particular and Greece in general

Great Rhodes Island all day tour

Had an excellent day with Alexis our tour guide. Included visit to Lindos and the Acropolis, Lunch looking over Monolithos Castle, Superb wine Tasting in Emponas and finishing with visit to the 7 springs including a walk through the tunnel to apparently cleanse our sins. The places visited were perfect for us and Alexis was very knowledgeable about Rhodes as well as many other subjects we discussed during our time together.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Laura. It was a pleasure to work with you. Alexis says hello and sends his best wishes to you!

Private Full Day Rhodes Island Tour from Cruise Port: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rhodes.

How much does Private Full Day Rhodes Island Tour from Cruise Port cost?

    +

Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rhodes usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Full Day Rhodes Island Tour from Cruise Port take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rhodes is not rushed.

Is Private Full Day Rhodes Island Tour from Cruise Port worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rhodes, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full Day Rhodes Island Tour from Cruise Port?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Full Day Rhodes Island Tour from Cruise Port suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Full Day Rhodes Island Tour from Cruise Port?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rhodes can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rhodes and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Full Day Rhodes Island Tour from Cruise Port start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rhodes within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rhodes?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rhodes experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Makarounas Fishing Boat Trip with swimming stop and BBQ on board, Rhodes Exclusive Swim Cruise Cocktail Open bar & Gourmet Buffet, Athens cruise: Agistri, Moni/Metopi, Aegina with lunch & drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rhodes?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rhodes?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
