Rhodes Food Tour

Highly recommend the Private Half-Day Food Tour in Rhodes’ Medieval Town! We had a wonderful morning with Irena, who took us to several local shops to sample their specialties. Along the way, she shared fascinating history about Rhodes and pointed out many historical sites and artifacts. A great way to experience the town’s food and culture!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We're absolutely delighted to hear you enjoyed your morning in the Medieval Town! Irena is wonderful at weaving the history and flavours of Rhodes together, and it's great to know that came through for you. We hope the memories, and the tastes stay with you long after your trip. We'd love to welcome you back to Rhodes someday!

Very informative on the...

Very informative on the history and culture of Greece and Rhodes in addition to selection of local food and drink. The 14th century coffee shop was a highlight! Our guide Irini was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback — it truly made our day! We're so glad you enjoyed the Medieval Town Foodie Tour and that it gave you a real taste of both the history and the flavours that make Rhodes so special. The 14th century coffee shop is always a favourite stop — there's nothing quite like sipping coffee surrounded by centuries of history! We'll make sure to pass your lovely words on to Irini; her warmth and dedication are exactly what we strive for in every experience we curate. Rhodes has so much more to offer, and we hope to have the pleasure of hosting you again — perhaps on your next culinary adventure through the Dodecanese!

Rhodes History and Cultural Immersion

As a private tour, we were delighted to be met just steps off our cruise ship. So many times, we have to wander in search of some landmark plaza to find our quide. The strength of the tour is the focus on the history and culture of Rhodes. Not surprising since our guide turned out to be a classics professor at the local university. Tour included a couple of hours in the old city. Food was good and sufficient for walkers. We saw much that make us want to go back some day for an extended stay.

Response from the operator: Thank you for this wonderful review — and for choosing us for your time in Rhodes. What you experienced with your guide is no accident. We only work with a small, carefully selected group of licensed guides — people we've partnered with for years. Knowing their backgrounds, their passions, and how they connect with guests is what allows us to match the right guide to the right tour. Having a classics professor lead a history and food walk through the Medieval Town? That's exactly the kind of depth we aim for. We're glad the private meet at the port made things seamless — that's the standard, not the exception. Hope to welcome you back to Rhodes for that extended stay. There's plenty more to discover.

Private Half-Day Food Tour in the Rhode's Medieval Town: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rhodes.

How much does Private Half-Day Food Tour in the Rhode's Medieval Town cost?

+

Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rhodes usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Half-Day Food Tour in the Rhode's Medieval Town take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rhodes is not rushed.

Is Private Half-Day Food Tour in the Rhode's Medieval Town worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rhodes, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Half-Day Food Tour in the Rhode's Medieval Town?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Half-Day Food Tour in the Rhode's Medieval Town suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Half-Day Food Tour in the Rhode's Medieval Town?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rhodes can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rhodes and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Half-Day Food Tour in the Rhode's Medieval Town start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rhodes within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rhodes?

+

On Outty we rank every Rhodes experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Makarounas Fishing Boat Trip with swimming stop and BBQ on board, Rhodes Exclusive Swim Cruise Cocktail Open bar & Gourmet Buffet, Athens cruise: Agistri, Moni/Metopi, Aegina with lunch & drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rhodes?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rhodes?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
