    Great Tour

Excellent fun day tour to Evora with our guide Diogo. So much better than our tour to Sintra - much less crowds - better food - more culture.

    An unforgettable day!

An incredible day, adapted to my conditions, broken foot. We visited vineyard and olive landscapes and a beautiful visit to Monsaraz. A tour of Arraiolos, Évora and a lot of history about the region and this beautiful country. The company of Diogo was amazing, always very dedicated and concerned with our well-being.

Response from the operator: Dear Outer, Thank you so much for yourq kind words! It was a pleasure to welcome you and make sure your day was comfortable and enjoyable — even with the unexpected challenge of a broken foot. We are truly happy that you enjoyed the landscapes, the vineyards and olive groves, and the charm of Monsaraz, Arraiolos and Évora. That region carries so much beauty and history, and it’s always a privilege to share it. Your well-being was our priority from the very first moment, and we’re delighted to know you felt cared for throughout the experience. Wishing you a smooth recovery and wonderful memories from Portugal — and we will be here with open arms whenever you return. Warm regards, Outing Portugal Team

    Great Evora history experience

We had a fabulous day trip to Évora with our very personable and knowledgeable guide Diogo. We were able to tailor the trip as we went and as well as seeing the sites of Evora ( Roman ruins and chapel of Bones were particularly arresting) we were able to fit in an excellent wine tasting at Cartuxa winery nearby. Diogo was a great guy and was able to teach me much about the history and politics of Portugal 🇵🇹 in one day 👍

Response from the operator: Dear Outer. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with Outing Portugal! 🌟 We’re delighted to know that your day in Évora was both inspiring and enjoyable — from the Roman ruins and the Chapel of Bones to the memorable wine tasting at Cartuxa. Our team is passionate about creating flexible, tailored experiences that combine history, culture, and local flavors, and it’s truly rewarding to hear how much you valued that approach. We look forward to welcoming you back soon for another unforgettable journey through Portugal! 🇵🇹✨

If you like history and good conversation, this is for you !

An amazing experience for those who like history and are interested in learning more about Évora and the country itself. Diogo is a very knowledgeable guide, so we used every moment to ask a lot of questions :). And he answered all of them with a lot of interesting facts. He even suggested a very nice local food (black pork) that we got to try for the first time. Awesome! Thank you, Diogo, for such an amazing tour last month ! :) We hope to have you as a guide again when we return to Portugal :)

Private Full-Day Historical Tour of Medieval Évora: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Private Full-Day Historical Tour of Medieval Évora cost?

    +

Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Full-Day Historical Tour of Medieval Évora take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Private Full-Day Historical Tour of Medieval Évora worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full-Day Historical Tour of Medieval Évora?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Full-Day Historical Tour of Medieval Évora suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Full-Day Historical Tour of Medieval Évora?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Full-Day Historical Tour of Medieval Évora start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
