Great tour!
This was such an amazing excursion! The guide was exceptionally flexible and knowledgeable. He worked with us to reschedule when our scheduled day/time was stormy. We saw multiple dolphins and the guide was careful to avoid disturbing them. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour!
Response from the operator: Always willing to work with my customers. That’s one of the reasons why running private trips is so important to me! Glad to have found the dolphins for you as well!

Great experience!
Our boat ride with Capt Gresh was the highlight of our trip! Not only did we see some dolphins but a bald eagle as well. Will definitely book again on our next trip.
Response from the operator: See you next time and safe travels! Me and the wildlife will be here!

Best choice to see dolphins!
A private tour like this was perfect. Our group thought this adventure made our trip! Captain Geresh is a gem. He gave us the greatest dolphin experience. We watched a dolphin teaching her calf to fish plus a group of dolphins Strand Feeding. He gave us interesting history of the island and lighthouse. He gave us time for shelling too! Captain Geresh worked around rainy weather to make sure we received the full experience. Thank you Captain!
Response from the operator: Thanks ya’ll! Enjoyed having you on the boat. Glad we had the opportunity to see the strand feeding with the dolphins. Like I said you’re some of the only people in the world to actually witness this. Thank you again!

Morris island dolphin charter
Captain Gresh a local native was awesome and this was the highlight of our trip to Charleston! He was super knowledgeable of area, history and wildlife. He was very accommodating for us and our 1 year old golden retriever. Morris island was beautiful and relaxing. We saw numerous dolphins during the entire charter. Captain Gresh wasn’t ever in a hurry and made the trip very enjoyable. Definitely will book again. Give him a call. You won’t be disappointed. Support your original local Guy!!!
Response from the operator: Thank ya’ll! Enjoyed having you and the sweet pup on the boat. Thank you for the feedback about being a native captain. You don’t know how much that means to those of us that were born and raised here. See you again soon I hope!

Private Dolphin Watch, Lighthouse and Ecological Boat Tours: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Folly Beach.
How much does Private Dolphin Watch, Lighthouse and Ecological Boat Tours cost?
+
Prices start at $325 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Folly Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Dolphin Watch, Lighthouse and Ecological Boat Tours take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Folly Beach is not rushed.
Is Private Dolphin Watch, Lighthouse and Ecological Boat Tours worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 225 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Folly Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Dolphin Watch, Lighthouse and Ecological Boat Tours?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Dolphin Watch, Lighthouse and Ecological Boat Tours suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Dolphin Watch, Lighthouse and Ecological Boat Tours?
+
Around 79 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Folly Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Folly Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Dolphin Watch, Lighthouse and Ecological Boat Tours start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Folly Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Folly Beach?
+
Folly Beach, SC packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Folly Beach by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Folly Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Charleston Stand Up Paddleboard Eco Tour, Private Folly Beach Dolphin Watching and Shelling tour, 2 Hour Charleston Stand Up Paddleboard Rentals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Folly Beach?
+
Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Folly Beach, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Folly Beach?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
