What you'll see and do
Paddling is the perfect experience for all types of people! You can cruise and enjoy nature and wildlife, or turn it up a bit and paddle quicker for a little workout. Most people I've taken have turned paddling into a hobby for a lifetime! After a brief intro we'll hop on the paddle boards and head off. Some start sitting, others start kneeling, but no matter what level you are, we'll have you standing up and flying on the paddleboard in no time. For those who enjoy kayaking we also have those available!:) Other things to note Will meet at the Folly Beach Boat Landing which is a public boat ramp. Parking is limited for single cars, DO NOT park in double spaces as these are reserved for boats/trailers. If full, go one block past the boat landing and turn left on Indian Ave. You can park in spaces or in the side of the road. ATTN: Times change based on the tides

So much fun! Five stars!
We booked a SUP tour with Stephen, and absolutely loved it. He was professional yet extremely friendly and funny. We saw dolphins and a hammerhead shark! We had to deal with bad weather and being late since we walked from our airbnb, and Stephen was patient and understanding the whole tine. Five stars, and highly recommend booking with Charleston Paddle Board Co and Stephen specifically!

Don’t go with this company !
I need a refund ! They told me to meet them at 9am as opposed to 10:30. Mix up - they thought I was taking surfing lessons instead of SUP.I never had my tour with this company due to their mixup. Kyle my guide was rude on his messages . No other SUP tours were there at this location between 9-12am . AJ the owner was very apologetic however and said he is understaffed. . I was able to go on a SUP tour by chance with Charleston SUP Safaris as I was figuring out this problem at the Folly Boat pier where I was supposed to be according to the booking . SUP Safaris was accommodating, friendly and a great tour and less expensive ! I still need my $70 refunded from Charleston Paddleboard Tour or Trip Advisor as they never delivered, never showed up and I had to pay for another tour with a different company .

Never showed up and took our money
BEWARE DON’T BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! Kyle was a no show after we spent $240 for a paddle board tour. We drove to the office which was an apartment building. We filed a complaint with our credit card, Marriott Activities and anyone else who will listen. Almost ruined our vacation.
Response from the operator: I have tried reaching out to this family as the Marriott Activities feeds to a third party Viator. We received a cancellation notice from Viator on July 30th that Karen Colella (the booker) cancelled the paddleboard tour. I am happy to share this email form Viator with Karen and her family. We are very sorry this happened. I wish the family would reach out to us instead of bashing a company that has been in business for over 14 year on the internet. BTW - their money was refunded when Karen cancelled the tour.

Charleston/Folly Beach Stand up Paddleboard Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Folly Beach.
How much does Charleston/Folly Beach Stand up Paddleboard Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Folly Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Charleston/Folly Beach Stand up Paddleboard Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Folly Beach is not rushed.
Is Charleston/Folly Beach Stand up Paddleboard Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Folly Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Charleston/Folly Beach Stand up Paddleboard Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Charleston/Folly Beach Stand up Paddleboard Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Charleston/Folly Beach Stand up Paddleboard Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Folly Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Folly Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Charleston/Folly Beach Stand up Paddleboard Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Folly Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Folly Beach?
+
Folly Beach, SC packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Folly Beach by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Folly Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Charleston Stand Up Paddleboard Eco Tour, Private Dolphin Watch, Lighthouse and Ecological Boat Tours, Private Folly Beach Dolphin Watching and Shelling tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Folly Beach?
+
Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Folly Beach, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Folly Beach?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
