Really fun
Had a great time, did a sunset paddle for a couple hours in the bay right outside their shop in Folly Beach. We saw dolphins, lots of sea birds including a blue heron, and even deer. Our guide was great and had tons of interesting info.

Definitely a top priority activity!
Top rating for this tour! We did the sunset dolphin paddleboard safari with Big Jon. What a fabulous activity! Jon was a great guide and took into account everything we wanted to see and everyone’s skill level. The area is so serene and gorgeous at sunset, and we had a lot of dolphin activity and actually got to see them feeding! A great time, and our 14yo loved it. Thanks Jon!
Response from the operator: Thanks for the top-rated review! We love getting SUPers of all ages out on the water and the dolphins are always the highlight!

Newbie Kayakers had great time!
Great trip on kayaks for our group of three. We had 14 people and 2 guides. Perfect experience on the folly river
Response from the operator: Thanks for the great review! We enjoy taking groups of all sizes out on the Folly River!

Beware of Parking Rules
Quite a lovely little beach town, but the parking situation is rough. There are several odd rules. We parked on a side road and got a ticket for $60 within 15 minutes.
Response from the operator: Hey guys, I'm glad you found Folly really lovely but unfortunately we do not make the parking rules. Hopefully you got a 5 star service from Charleston SUP Safaris on your trip! It would great if you would write your review about your Sup Safari here and write a separate review to Folly Beach for your parking ticket.

Sunset Paddleboard - Samantha was great!
This was a great experience. Samantha was our guide. She gave an excellent prep with clear directions and a few tips for getting better movement. We saw dolphins and had a beak to play in the pluff mud and swim a little. Samantha gave great instructions on getting back and kept an eye out to ensure that no one was struggling or left behind. Her knowledge of the area was great and we really enjoyed our sunset tour with her. I don’t think it would have been as enjoyable in the heat of the day, but the sunset was beautiful.

Charleston Stand Up Paddleboard Eco Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Folly Beach.
How much does Charleston Stand Up Paddleboard Eco Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Folly Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Charleston Stand Up Paddleboard Eco Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Folly Beach is not rushed.
Is Charleston Stand Up Paddleboard Eco Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 88 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 114 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Folly Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Charleston Stand Up Paddleboard Eco Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Charleston Stand Up Paddleboard Eco Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Charleston Stand Up Paddleboard Eco Tour?
+
Around 40 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Folly Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Folly Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Charleston Stand Up Paddleboard Eco Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Folly Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Folly Beach?
+
Folly Beach, SC packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Folly Beach by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Folly Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Dolphin Watch, Lighthouse and Ecological Boat Tours, Private Folly Beach Dolphin Watching and Shelling tour, 2 Hour Charleston Stand Up Paddleboard Rentals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Folly Beach?
+
Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Folly Beach, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Folly Beach?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
