Private Day Tour of Saqqara and Quad Bike.

To say the adventure was amazing is an understatement. Our tour guide/ friend was great. He spoke great English and made sure we were well taken care of. His knowledge of the history and culture was awesome. He didn’t push us to do anything we didn’t desire and he kept the Gypsies at bay. He took wonderful photos and just made the day very calming and full of fun. I will definitely look him up on my next visit in hopes that he is still available. Great time!! We left his picture below!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your amazing feedback! We’re truly happy to hear that your experience was so memorable and enjoyable. It means a lot to us that you felt comfortable, well taken care of, and free to enjoy the day at your own pace. Your kind words about your guide’s knowledge, professionalism, and friendly attitude are greatly appreciated, and we’re especially glad you enjoyed the photos and the overall atmosphere of the tour. We look forward to welcoming you again on your next visit to Egypt—and hopefully with the same guide! Thank you again for choosing us.

    Fantastic experience

Me and my husband had an amazing experience with our tour guide Mr Mustafa. He took us to visit king Titis tomb and the step pyrimids. The tour included water and a very delecious lunch! We then went onto visit two different musseums on our way to the quad bikes. We learnt how the first ever hand made paper was made and also how to make hand made carpets, very interesting to see how the culture still continues to shine through thousands of years with many locals making carpets and paper by hand. We rode the quads for an hour and half, the quads were not in the best conditions but they still did the job! Was thrilling to be able to drive through the sandy desert and around the breathtaking pyrimids. Tour guides were great in showing us the best tracks and routes and even took us to a traditional hutt in the desert were we met some locals and enjoyed some beverages whilst overlooking the beautiful pyrimids. This trip has honestly been one of the best experiences me and my husband have had togeather and we will always remember it! I highly recommed doing this trip, ask for Mr Mustafa he is the best tour guide ive came across, very experienced and kind.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful and detailed experience! We’re truly delighted to hear that you and your husband had such a memorable day. It’s great to know you enjoyed visiting King Teti’s tomb, the Step Pyramid, the museums, and learning about traditional Egyptian crafts like papyrus and handmade carpets—these cultural moments are very special to us. We’re especially happy that you had an amazing time with Mr. Mustafa. Your kind words about his knowledge, care, and professionalism mean a lot, and we will definitely share your feedback with him. We also appreciate your honest note about the quad bikes, and we’re glad the experience was still thrilling and enjoyable overall. Riding through the desert with views of the pyramids is truly unforgettable! Thank you for your recommendation—it means everything to us. We look forward to welcoming you again for another incredible adventure in Egypt!

Saqqara is rich with the history of...

Saqqara is rich with the history of the Old Kingdom and it was really interesting to see some of the tombs. I would advise reading up on some of the tombs before going so you can really appreciate what you see. Taking pictures may end up costing you so do find out if it's OK beforehand.

The quad bike adventure was really enjoyable the view of the pyramids while riding through the desert was great. The desert is really rocky so don't expect to be able to speed through but it's still a really good time.

The tour guides were very friendly, helpful and informative and with wifi available in the minivan, there wasn't much else to ask for.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review! We’re really happy to hear that you enjoyed exploring Saqqara and its incredible Old Kingdom history. You’re absolutely right—having some background knowledge makes the experience even more meaningful, and we appreciate you sharing that tip with future travelers. It’s great to know that you also had a fun time during the quad bike adventure and enjoyed the unique desert landscape and views of the pyramids. Each part of the experience is designed to give a different perspective of Egypt’s beauty. We’re especially pleased that our guides made your trip comfortable, informative, and enjoyable—and that the onboard WiFi added extra convenience. Thank you again for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back for another amazing experience in Egypt!

Private Day Tour of Saqqara and Quad Bike Adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.

How much does Private Day Tour of Saqqara and Quad Bike Adventure cost?

    +

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Day Tour of Saqqara and Quad Bike Adventure take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.

Is Private Day Tour of Saqqara and Quad Bike Adventure worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Day Tour of Saqqara and Quad Bike Adventure?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Day Tour of Saqqara and Quad Bike Adventure suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Day Tour of Saqqara and Quad Bike Adventure?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Day Tour of Saqqara and Quad Bike Adventure start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cairo?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cairo?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cairo?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
