Book this Preah Vihear tour and other private tours offered by Panha for an exceptional experience in Cambodia!
Panha is amazing! I highly recommend him for tours based out of Siem Reap. He is super knowledgeable, speaks excellent English, is very friendly, flexible with travel plans and pickup, and has a comfortable vehicle with lots of space. We booked Panha’s Preah Vihear tour because it was highly recommended. We wanted to see this place as its one of the most significant temples in Cambodia and a UNESCO World Heritage site, yet few visitors to Siem Reap ever make the journey. It’s an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva completed in the 12th century atop a mountain and along Cambodia’s borders with Thailand and Laos. This temple has an interesting history including military battles with Thailand only a decade and a half ago over ownership of the temple! And unlike the major temples of Angkor, it is not crowded. On the way back, Panha surprised us with a stop at Koh Ker, a massive temple in the form of a 7-tiered pyramid. And Koh Ker is one of the few pyramids in Cambodia you can actually climb, which we did. It’s not a difficult climb like some of the temples in Angkor since it has platforms for the different tiers. We also checked out another temple near Koh Ker, with trees from the jungle growing out of the temple, that we had all to ourselves with no other visitors! We enjoyed our day trip to Preah Vihear with Panha so much that we asked him to do an additional half-day trip the following day where we visited Bantea Srei and Beng Mealea. Bantea Srei is a 10th century Hindu temple in Siem Reap with detailed carvings in red sandstone. Beng Mealea was one of my favorite temples in all of Cambodia as its a ruined temple engulfed by the jungle. You visit the site along a raised platform that follows the interior. With the large trees growing up and around the whole temple, it is almost entirely in the shade. Truly breathtaking! We want to thank Panha for guiding us to these extraordinary places and creating such a memorable experience for our visit to Cambodia! Do reach out to Panha (Angkor Cab) if you want to enjoy private tours to some amazing places near Siem Reap!

Amazing 3 days visit in Siem Reap Temples Area
I met randomly Panha when landing at the airport ! It was not planned. I had a Super welcome from Panha, wonderful driver, very flexible, available and friendly to feel you welcome like at home. I booked a private tour in his confy SUV to visit his beautiful country. We went for a 3 days tour with a 3 days open ticket. Preah Vihear is located in Preah Vihear province around 240km from Siem Reap city. Preah Vihear is one of the best temple in Cambodia 🇰🇭. This temple built on the top of Dong Rek mountain 550 meters high. Visit this temple a great distance away from the tourist crowded. I enjoyed very much the scenery drive and love the temple so much. I highly recommended this temple to everyone. MERCI BEAUCOUP my friend Panha !

A memorable experience
Panha was our private driver/tour guide for our whole stay in Cambodia. He speaks excellent English, is very reliable, caring and knowledgeable. Thanks to him we got to know a lot about the country, its history and everyday life. He took us to good local restaurants with typical food and had us taste various specialities. Panha would always organize the days according to our wishes. We most appreciated the wonderful boat rides and the hiking through rice fields and small farmer villages. I had especially asked to visit the circus school Phare in Battambang. Panha made it possible and I‘m grateful for that. It was a memorable experience. Thanks to Panha, the trip to Cambodia was one of my best!
Response from the operator: Dear Doris, Thanks 🙏 so much for supporting my business by reviewing an excellent rating to my service. I have had a great honor to serve you and Peter around my beautiful country Cambodia 🇰🇭. I really hope to serve you again next time. Sincerely yours, Panha

Outstanding guidance in Siem Reap
We spend 4 days in Siem Reap and we could not have a better induction trough the city thanks to Panha. He was more than just a guide. Thanks to him, we were able to visit the main monuments (including Ankor Wat but also other ones that are not as famous as Ankor but even more magic and beautiful). Panha provide us the historical Information in order to understand the context of each monument. I would recommend him 10000%!

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Day Tour of Preah Vihear Off the Beaten track: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.
How much does Private Day Tour of Preah Vihear Off the Beaten track cost?
+
Prices start at $299 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Day Tour of Preah Vihear Off the Beaten track take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.
Is Private Day Tour of Preah Vihear Off the Beaten track worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Day Tour of Preah Vihear Off the Beaten track?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Day Tour of Preah Vihear Off the Beaten track suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Day Tour of Preah Vihear Off the Beaten track?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Day Tour of Preah Vihear Off the Beaten track start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?
+
On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Siem Reap?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
