An Amazing Sunset Cruise with Andreas

We had such an amazing sunset cruise with Andreas. The boat was cozy and his knowledge of sites and history was so helpful. We brought some wine and snacks and we had an awesome night. Highly recommend taking a cruise with Andreas. It was definitely a highlight of our trip!

If you only do one thing in Copenhagen, it should be this

This was hands down probably the best experience I’ve ever had on a European vacation, and in Copenhagen. My husband and I booked a private cruise with Andreas while on a trip in early October 2026 while on a trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were booked to go at 9 am that day, but the weather was really dreary and rainy, so he texted us and asked if we would prefer to go around 1:30 when it looked like the rain was clearing out and we enthusiastically said yes! That alone set us up for a much better experience and we were so relieved. It was very easy to find the pickup point as he described to us and he even gave us a few different pickup point options to make it as convenient as possible. He was very communicative and as the language barrier can sometimes make navigating a new city challenging, we really appreciated how detailed and easy it was to find him. We were a bit early to the pickup point and he showed up right on time. Getting onto the boat and setting off was simple and relaxing, and his boat is absolutely beautiful and it is so clear that he puts so much care and consideration into the comfort of the boat. It was small but very cozy with plenty of room for the two of us and him! Andreas took us around several parts of Copenhagen for about 2 hours and we had a lovely conversation where he shared a ton about the history of each area we were in, the architecture and culture, and how Copenhagen has changed through the years. This even included stories from his childhood in each area which was so sweet and fun. He showed us small areas from the water that we would never get to see and probably would not have found on foot otherwise. Andreas was an absolute delight and along with another tour guide we worked with at the royal palace, just cemented for me how warm and kind the danish people are. The rest of our trip, my husband and I kept joking that we should “call our friend Andreas to come have a beer” because we just adored him so much. Even after our tour, we were having a drink at a waterside bar and saw him putter by with another tour group and saw him and waved! It made our whole day! All in all I cannot stress enough what an enjoyable experience this was. I’m writing this review from back home in the U.S. and even now, I’m hoping our friend Andreas is doing well and having a good day with good weather. This is a MUST DO activity, not only is it so enriching for your experience in Copenhagen, you can rest assured that it’s not a “touristy” experience and is very intimate and relaxing. We kept passing sightseeing boats packed with 100 tourists and we were so grateful to have an off-the-beaten-path experience that is no doubt much more enjoyable than the very crowded long boats. I can’t say thank you to Andreas for this experience enough! Love from Kentucky!💖

    Excellent tour!

We had a great boat tour with Andreas. The trip was 2 hours which allowed for a good exploration of the harbour and surrounds. Andreas is an excellent guide - very friendly and informative - and we loved his boat! Very worthwhile particularly as it was our first day in Copenhagen.

    Perfect “behind the scenes” tour!

We had a bit of a rainy day and issues getting taxis in Copenhagen, but Andreas couldn’t have been more patient! His boat was the perfect size to accommodate our group and provided an intimate, “non-touristy” tour of Copenhagen from the water which was the perfect ending to a great day in town. We would highly recommend Andreas!

Private Copenhagen Boat Tour: Landmarks and Hidden Gems: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Copenhagen.

How much does Private Copenhagen Boat Tour: Landmarks and Hidden Gems cost?

    +

Prices start at $123 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Copenhagen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Copenhagen Boat Tour: Landmarks and Hidden Gems take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Copenhagen is not rushed.

Is Private Copenhagen Boat Tour: Landmarks and Hidden Gems worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 66 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Copenhagen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Copenhagen Boat Tour: Landmarks and Hidden Gems?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Copenhagen Boat Tour: Landmarks and Hidden Gems suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Copenhagen Boat Tour: Landmarks and Hidden Gems?

    +

Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Copenhagen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Copenhagen and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Copenhagen Boat Tour: Landmarks and Hidden Gems start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Copenhagen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Copenhagen?

    +

On Outty we rank every Copenhagen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Social Sailing - Copenhagen Canal Tour - Captain's Favorite, Copenhagen Walking Tour: Politically Incorrect Intro, Copenhagen Highlights 3 Hour Bike Tour with local Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Copenhagen?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Copenhagen?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Private Copenhagen Boat Tour: Landmarks and Hidden Gems?

    +

Included: Private transportation; and Private Captain/Guide. Not included: On-board restrooms. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Where is the meeting point for Private Copenhagen Boat Tour: Landmarks and Hidden Gems?

    +

You will find the boat by the polar bear statue and the round Café at the beginning of the cruise ship pier "Langelinie". Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.

What languages is Private Copenhagen Boat Tour: Landmarks and Hidden Gems offered in?
