About this experience
At Hey Captain we do Social Sailing, where you meet new people and explore Copenhagen harbor. We started as friends on a boat and this is the atmosphere we want to deliver to our guests. It's a talk and a dialogue more than your standard classical tour. The Captain’s Favorite is for you who wants to explore all of Copenhagen in its full glory. We explore the development of the harbor by journeying through areas that has been built by creating artificial islands over the last many decades. We do a brief stop at the fortress on Trekroner Island where history mix with the future, when we explore the historic fortress and see the first land reclamation of Lynetteholmen - the future island of Copenhagen. We then continue to Nordhavn where you experience firsthand the modern part of Copenhagen and how urbanization is transforming the industrial harbor into the recreational oasis that has made Copenhagen so famous. In the end we finish off with the picturesque canals of the old city centre.

Great and fun tour
Even though the day was rainy it was still a great experience. Our captain Magnus was fun and informative and made the best of our rainy day sailing.

Great trip
We had a one and a half trip with a group of friends in two boats and for a birthday trip and it was lovely. Seb was our very nice captain who guided us through the canals. We were on a new electric boat which was very calm. It was also good having the roof pulled over as there was a little rain. I would highly recommend this tour.

Good Tour
We enjoyed talking to the other people on the tour. We saw some beautiful buildings and scenery. It would have been nice to be given other information about what we were seeing from the boat other than questions we asked.

Relaxing enjoyable way to see Copenhagen especially see the amazing architecture from the water that you would not see o
It was a lovely boat ride that went through the whole of Copenhagen seen from the water . Interesting historical facts and photos of before and after Copenhagen in certain areas . I thought it got a bit long by the end where there wasn’t much to see but again you really see parts of Copenhagen you otherwise wouldn’t have time to see on a day . The young man was very nice and able to work with different people in the bunch , it was a full amount of 5 couples. You could participate or just enjoy the conversations

Fabulous 2 hour tour
We loved our time with Elliott on our Hey Captain boat ride. It was a small group and we learned so much about Denmark that we didn't know. Covered so many neighborhoods and places that larger tour boats can't go. Truly amazing and worth every penny.

Why this scores 94
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Social Sailing - Copenhagen Canal Tour - Captain's Favorite: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Copenhagen.
How much does Social Sailing - Copenhagen Canal Tour - Captain's Favorite cost?
+
Prices start at $104 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Copenhagen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Social Sailing - Copenhagen Canal Tour - Captain's Favorite take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Copenhagen is not rushed.
Is Social Sailing - Copenhagen Canal Tour - Captain's Favorite worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 94 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 1,751 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Copenhagen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Social Sailing - Copenhagen Canal Tour - Captain's Favorite?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Social Sailing - Copenhagen Canal Tour - Captain's Favorite suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Social Sailing - Copenhagen Canal Tour - Captain's Favorite?
+
Around 613 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Copenhagen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Copenhagen and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Social Sailing - Copenhagen Canal Tour - Captain's Favorite start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Copenhagen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Copenhagen?
+
On Outty we rank every Copenhagen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Grand Day Trip around Copenhagen, Copenhagen Walking Tour: Politically Incorrect Intro, Copenhagen Highlights 3 Hour Bike Tour with local Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Copenhagen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Copenhagen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
