In 1700, Copenhagen was bombarded from the sea, and in 1713 some old warship were set aground by the straight and narrow path in the entering to Copenhagen so the city was better protected from the sea. One of the warships was Trekroner. Trekroner was close to two of Copenhagen's most dramatic events. Firstly, Battle of Copenhagen in 1801 and since the bombardment of Copenhagen in 1807. In 1801, Trekroner was a serious threat to the British assault force, and therefore Lord Nelson kept the naval force out of reach. Discover the casemate buildings Today Trekroner is open to all. Here, you can discover the various exhibition cases in the casemate buildings. You can also watch a film about the Battle of Copenhagen or you can go down to the cold basement with a flashlight and hear stories about the good life in Trekroner.

    Great time on the water

Great time and experience touring Copenhagen by boat. Thomas is knowledgeable and showed us the sites. The old fort island was especially great to see as few people were there. Gitzmo is a great companion. My son loved the experience with Gitzmo. Highly recommend.

    Best possible experience!

Amazing trip with the best possible crew: Captain Thomas and the sweetest co-captain Gitzmo - the most unique little dog we ever met. Everything was extremely well organized and much better than the over crowded canal cruises. Do yourself the favor and book a trip here for a unique experience! Warmesr recommendation to everyone.

    Relaxing Cruise.

Thomas was an excellent host. He was informative and relaxed. It was more like taking a ride with a friend. Gitzmo was a fun companion. We would recommend.

Outstanding and unique experience with Gitzmo the Yorkshire terrier

A private boat tour through the canals of Copenhagen is already something special—but this experience took it to another level entirely. Our captain, Gitzmo the Yorkshire Terrier, brought both charm and unexpected authority to the tour, while his human Thomas, ensured everything ran smoothly. From the moment we set off, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Cruising through the canals offered stunning views of the city from a unique perspective, far from the usual crowds. Gitzmo added a unique twist that you simply won’t find anywhere else, and Thomas complemented it perfectly with his calm and professional guidance. All in all, this was a fantastic and one-of-a-kind experience. If you’re looking for something memorable, personal, and a little out of the ordinary, this private canal tour is absolutely worth it.

    Relaxing and informative...

Relaxing and informative boat ride with super friendly Thomas and Gitzmo! We actually needed to adjust the ride a bit to shorter and he was accommodating about our start time as well. Little adorable Gitzmo, Thomas’ dog, made our tour especially good hopping along to sit on laps and then trotted along with us happily at the fort where we stopped. This tour is probably better for young adults than one of the basic boat tours offered.

Private Copenhagen Tour with Gitzmo Boat: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Copenhagen.

How much does Private Copenhagen Tour with Gitzmo Boat cost?

    +

Prices start at $587 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Copenhagen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Copenhagen Tour with Gitzmo Boat take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Copenhagen is not rushed.

Is Private Copenhagen Tour with Gitzmo Boat worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Copenhagen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Copenhagen Tour with Gitzmo Boat?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Copenhagen Tour with Gitzmo Boat suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Copenhagen Tour with Gitzmo Boat?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Copenhagen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Copenhagen and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Copenhagen Tour with Gitzmo Boat start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Copenhagen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Copenhagen?

    +

On Outty we rank every Copenhagen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Grand Day Trip around Copenhagen, Copenhagen Walking Tour: Politically Incorrect Intro, Copenhagen Highlights 3 Hour Bike Tour with local Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Copenhagen?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Copenhagen?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
