Best tour guide in Mexico
We feel extremely lucky to have had the chance of discovering the wonders of Mexico with Caleb. He is such a great guy: passionate, knowledgeable, well-prepared, and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing his love for his country. By far, the best tour guide in Mexico - and we have no doubt that all of his colleagues are just as great as he is!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words, Tommy! It was truly a pleasure to have you with us and to share a little piece of Mexico with you. Knowing that you enjoyed the experience and felt my passion for my country makes everything we do even more meaningful. I’m very grateful for your trust, your wonderful energy, and for taking the time to share your experience. I hope Mexico leaves you with many beautiful memories, and I sincerely hope to welcome you back someday for another adventure! Warm regards, Caleb BTM Team

Best Adventure Ever
Luis was fantastic. I almost don't want to write a review because I had such a wonderful time. Everything, and I mean everything, exceeded my expectations. The UNESCO World Heritage site was amazing. The Cenote was out of this world beautiful and a fantastic lunch too! I would 1000% recommend taking this tour. I will take it again on my next visit.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this amazing review! We’re thrilled to hear that every part of the day exceeded your expectations. It’s wonderful to know that you enjoyed the archaeological site, the cenote, and the lunch. We always strive to create experiences that go beyond simply visiting the main attractions, so hearing that you had such an unforgettable day means a lot to our entire team. We would absolutely love to welcome you back on your next visit to Mexico for another adventure! Warm regards, Caleb BTM Team

Best tour of our trip 😊!
My daughter and I had an awesome experience visiting Chichen Itza, Samaal Cenote & Valladolid. Caleb and Everett were both fantastic. We arrived at the ruins and the cenote before the big crowds and the high heat. Both gentlemen were efficient, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. Pickup & dropoff was a breeze - we even stopped for coffee & snacks since we didn’t eat breakfast. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants an easy and enjoyable experience, totally worth it.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re delighted to hear that you and your daughter had such a wonderful day with us. We’re especially happy that the early start allowed you to enjoy Chichén Itzá and the cenote before the larger crowds and the strongest heat. We always try to organize the day in a way that feels comfortable and relaxed, rather than rushed. It was a pleasure having you both with us, and we’ll definitely share your kind words with Everett. We’re also glad we could make the morning a little easier with the coffee and snack stop! Thank you for recommending us so warmly. We hope to welcome you and your daughter back to Mexico for another great adventure in the future. Warm regards, Caleb BTM Team

Why this scores 86
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid Tour with Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.
How much does Private Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid Tour with Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $210 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid Tour with Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.
Is Private Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid Tour with Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 86 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 242 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid Tour with Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid Tour with Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid Tour with Lunch?
+
Around 85 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid Tour with Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?
+
On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
