Bait and Switch....nope, worse, Bait and Cancel
I purchased this package earlier this week, after exchanging emails with Ana at the tour operator's office. Within 24 hours I received notification that Ana had canceled my purchase. The original offer that was advertised was for 160km of travel. Upon receiving the cancelation notice, I contacted Ana again and she said that they could not make money at 160km. She immediately changed the advertisement to be 80km maximum. I, however, PDF'd the 160km purchase ad. She further refused communication with me because I ordered through Viator and not from her directly. Unfortunately, after booking the chauffer, I had booked further arrangements based on the fact that I had a driver. All of those plans require changes. Endless Weekends offers a different tour that might have been a reasonable alternative, and I suggested that due to her causing this problem, that I would be happy to purchase the alternative tour, if she offered a credit towards it to compensate for the troubles that she caused me. Again, she stopped communication. Her advertisement and her actions are totally unprofessional. Use with caution.

After 6 years as Tripadvisor supplier you have made us cancel a TripAdvisor booking for the first time! You send us an email directly thru our website and not from TripAdvisor, requesting us to clarify some of your doubts over two different services we offer there, Private Aveiro tour and Private Chauffer services. What you want since the beginning was to check if you could buy a service that final costs are 288 € per 198€, less 90 Euros! As you said in your email, you want to use a private chauffer service to duplicate as a tour and with this way you pay less 90 Euros. Our travel consultant, Ana, replied by email that: Our chauffer services are a different service, you rent a chauffeur not a driver tour guide. Also, you must into consideration the amount of km and time, because of the extra’s hours or km price. Also, in your e-mail you said that: You could not our Private Aveiro tour on Viator. Is it there, and if so, would you please link it to me or tell me the product code number. There are reasons that I prefer to reserve through Viator, as I have a personal relationship with them. Ana reply to you in the same email our TripAdvisor link for our tour to Aveiro because it was clear that the reasons for wanting to book on TripAdvisor were not the reasons mentioned above but because this way you didn't need to pay in advance like on our website. What is our amazement that the next day, and after all clarifications and exchanged emails, we receive a booking from TripAdvisor of our Private chauffer service instead of a Private tour to Aveiro in you name! Because for us it was clear first that we could not fulfil your wishes with that service and in the end, everybody will be unsatisfied, at that exact moment we decided to cancel your booking and send you a Tripadvisor message explaining the reasons. After that, we received all sorts of threats from you, both by direct email and by the TripAdvisor messaging service. We had to ask TripAdvisor to shut down the messaging service, but we continue to receive threatening emails in our corporate email. So, from a moment to another, a person that as has stated a personal relationship with TripAdvisor, does not know that a any booking can be cancel when received by a partner without any credit allowance as request by you, especially when it was cancel with more than 5 months in advance (178 days) and only 2 hours of pre-reservation. Finally, hope everything goes as plan and without any other accidents in you stay in Porto and in your visit to Aveiro!
